Is this actually happening right now?

"Yeah Amy it's me. How are you?"

Is he serious right now?

"What? You don't contact me after all this time and now you're calling me out of the blue asking how i am?"

I was actually kind of annoyed right now.

Noah is my 23 year old brother and he was actually my full brother, not like Aiden and Bella, they're only my half siblings.

When i was around 6 my mum and dad divorced, i don't remember much of it, but i know how sad they both of them were about it.

My dad moved out and me and Noah tried to see our dad as much as we possibly could, until he moved out of the country when i was 9 for work.

We stayed in contact as much as we could, he came to visit, but when Noah turned 18 he moved away to work with him too.

It was quite a hard time for me actually, my mum remarried not too long after the divorce with my dad and i'm pretty sure that was a big reason Noah was adamant to leave and work away.

Because he hated our mums new husband so much.

I'm not the biggest fan of him either and i live with him, but i don't see who too often, he works a lot and i have college, so we don't really have much interaction.

He is technically or step dad, but i've never classed his as that and Noah especially didn't.

"Amy i'm sorry, but i've had important things to do" he said bluntly.

Has he really just said that?

"What's more important than at least texting me telling me you're okay Noah?"

"I know i know, but-"

I cut him off "it's been almost three years Noah!"

"Amy i know!" he shouted.

I stayed silent, i didn't even know what to say.

"Amy, i am so sorry and you deserve an explanation, but i need you to promise me something"

I single tear slid down my cheek and i said quietly "what?"

"Promise me, you'll be careful and you'll stay at home until i can see you"

Huh?

"What? Why?" i questioned confused.

"Just promise me please?"

"What? No, what are you talking about?"

"Amy promise me" he partially shouted through the phone.

"Okay okay i'm promise!"

"Thank you, i promise i'll be there to see you soon, Amy i love and miss you so much, remember that"

"N-noah wait-" i said quickly as the call ended.

I brought the phone down from my ear and starred blankly at the screen.

What just happened?

And what the fuck is he talking about?

I was completely baffled right now and i was snapped out of my thoughts to the sound of a car horn outside.

I looked out the window to see an uber parked outside.

I turned to the mirror to make sure it didn't look like i'd be crying, grabbed my phone and quickly made my way down the stairs.
