Chapter Seven

:Half an hour later:

Brook decided to sit in the corner and watch as people mingled and walked around with plates in their hands Brook then looked at the big floor where some people were out dancing. Brook didn't recognize the music but some songs were up beat enough where she tapped her foot.

Brook looked around some more and found Cross and Error in the corner chatting with someone she didn't know yet but when Cross laughed Brook was interested in the person, but she didn't move from her seat she just kept watching everyone.

Brook then spied Mafia and Zelda Brook smiled Mafia's way and sighed "I can't wait for this to be over" Brook said "it's almost time Brook don't worry you can change soon" Zelda told her with her mind, Brook looked Zelda's way.

Zelda was looking Brook's way and when they noticed they were looking at each other Zelda smiled and waved at her Brook waved back, then went back to looking around the party Brook sighed again just then the queen walked over.

"Hey honey how are you doing now? I'm sorry but it's not ladylike to run around a table with a dress on let alone run around while people are around," the queen told her Brook just narrowed her eyes "well it's not my fault I could have picked a better dress.

"But thanks to Cross I want to kill him. I hate this kind of dress. It's two frilly. '' Brook complained "oh really? Then what dress would you pick if you decided on your own?" the queen asked, "could've been black, could've been any color but really don't mind gold but I hate this style is all" Brook added.

The queen nodded "well you can't kill Cross that's for sure because for one he's your brother but your right frilly doesn't really work on you does it? The queen said, ''Mafia '' then came up to them both and smiled "hello my lady could I have at least one dance?" he asked Brook.

Brook looked between the queen and Mafia then nodded "alright just one dance" Brook replied Mafia then took her hand and pulled her towards the dance floor "you should meet some of your relatives there nice and some are funny well," Mafia told Brook as he grabbed her and started to dance.

Zelda looked towards the chair that Brook was in and saw it was empty Zelda noticed Mafia was missing as well so Zelda looked around some more and she finally found them Zelda looked to Hal "Hal dear let's join Brook and Mafia" Zelda asked as she pointed towards the dance floor.

"I guess we could but I didn't know you were much of a dancer Zelda" Hal said Zelda smiled "oh I like to dance it just has to be right besides it's been a really long time since I have" Zelda replied, Hal smiled "that's right it has been hasn't it?" Hal said.

Zelda nodded then grabbed his hand and pulled him to the dance floor Hal shook his head "oh Zelda I've missed this" Hal admitted, Zelda stared at him then started to tear up, Hal noticed and hugged her "oh Zelda I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry" Hal said.

Zelda wiped her tears away and smiled at him "no, no i'm fine really I am I'm just glad to finally be where I belong finally met you again" Zelda admitted, Hal hugged Zelda "I'm glad and happy for you" Hal replied he then let go and pulled her to the center of the dance floor.

Brook and Mafia looked their way and smiled then went over to them "hey guys how's things going? How do you like the party?" Hal asked them "it's alright" Brook replied "I like it" Mafia told them, Brook then looked down at her watch.

Brook then looked at Mafia then to Hal "if you'll excuse me I've got to go" Brook said and started off the dance floor Mafia looked at Zelda and Hal and bowed "if you'll excuse me guys i'll see if she's alright" Mafia told them, Zelda and Hal bowed back "see you soon" they replied.

Brook looked back to see that Mafia had followed so Brook started running Mafia raced after her "what's the matter? Rosie did something happen? It's alright i'm here to help" Mafia told her, but Brook just kept on running till she got to the stairs.

Mafia huffed and huffed "hunny please what's wrong? Please tell me I want to help" Mafia said again Brook looked behind her and just smiled then she looked back to the stairs and hurried up the stairs she knew Mafia had started to follow again "don't follow me go back to the party" Brook said over her shoulder.

"No I don't want to be there if your not" Mafia told Brook "I love it that you want to be with me but can I have some space Mafi i'm alright just go back and enjoy for the both of us, Mafia stopped and stared at Brook as she continued up the stairs.

Brook then hurried to their room and shut the door Brook smiled and laughed a bit "oh you have no idea what I'm about to do" she said to herself as she thought of Mafia, she then hurried to get undressed, then she went to her closet and pulled out her new favorite dress then she hurried to put it on.

Once she was all fixed up she sat there looking at herself once she was satisfied she smiled at herself "now this is a dress the other one is not my thing" she thought to herself, then she looked at her watch again.

Brook hurried and finished her makeup then she headed out of the room and back to the party once she got to the stairs she noticed that Mafia hadn't left and was sitting on a chair waiting for her to come back Mafia sensed someone looking at him and he looked up and found Brook was staring at him.

Mafia's jaw dropped "so this is what you were up to huh?" Mafia finally said after he swallowed Brook nodded and smiled "sorry I wanted it to be a surprise and I wanted a chance to wear it, I just bought it" Brook said as she still smiled.

Mafia smiled back as he looked her up and down "either way I approve" Mafia replied and got up and went to the stairs and held his hand out and waited for her to take it, Brook came down the stairs and took his hand they then headed back to the party together.

This time Mafia left Brook at the door and went onto the dance floor and got Zelda and Hal "guy's you might want to come to the door guy's there's someone who wants to see you" Mafia said with another smile Zelda looked at Mafia then to the door and smiled.

Zelda nodded "okay we'll come see" Zelda said and pulled Hal with her and headed to the door of the the hall, once she got there she saw Brook in another dress, and she smiled "that's a pretty dress sis" Zelda told Brook "thank you" she answered.

Zelda then gave her a hugged and grabbed her hand "come on let's dance some more what do you say?" Zelda asked her, Brook thought for a minute then she nodded "alright but not to much more" she told her.

Brook, Mafia, Hal and Zelda all walked into the room and headed towards the dance floor Cross and the queen noticed all four of them walking into the room again, Cross's jaw dropped and the queen just stared at them.

Once they got close enough the queen and Cross went up to the group "holy smokes Brook where did you get that?" Cross asked the queen nodded "yes he's right i've never seen this one yet" the queen added, "it's called going shopping" Brook told them.

Mafia mouthed to the queen "help me" he said the queen smiled and shook her head "I knew she'd be dragging someone around at least it wasn't Cross or Error this time " she thought, one of Brook's cousins walked up then "this girl likes to shop?" the cousin asked.

"Yes this is my daughter Brook" the queen told her "so this is Brook huh? Not who I was expecting" the cousin said just then all the kids came running into the room, and Brooks three kids and one wheeled up to Brook everyone looked at the kids, "Momma up, up" StarFire said.
