"Well, thanks for dinner. I'll head off so you can watch your thing." Jax looked up at Cressida as she gathered her belongings. Jax nodded silently, she knew that no matter what she said, her friend would never understand her love for BTS. She had known her for years but after tonight, she had decided that they had grown apart too much to be considered close anymore. Dinner conversation had remained shallow, eye contact had been minimal, and Jax had tried so hard to be a good friend over the recent years, listening to her stories, being there for her, supporting her, but it had all be one sided. Cressida had seen how much they had affected Jax, how they had made her into a stronger, more resilient person, how they had taught her to love herself and in turn others. But she still refused to give them a chance. So Jax decided that after tonight, she was happy to move on.

Standing up she smiled and brought Cressida in for one last hug before she turned to walk out the door and out of her life.

"Thank you, for everything. Have a safe trip." Cressida moved back to arms length and scrutinised Jax.

"Jacqueline, you sound like this is goodbye for good. Are you okay?" Jax forced a smile that didn't reach her eyes and nodded. Cressida accepted the poor attempt at covering up her sadness, bid her goodbye and walked out the door. She watched her leave, knowing that she used to be able to see right through her attempts to cover up her sadness, and knew that it was the final nail in their friendship's coffin that she would give up so easily on her.

Shutting the door and heaving a heavy sigh, she walked into her bedroom and discarded her clothes and bra, opting instead for her pyjamas and some comfy socks. Making a stop in the kitchen, she picked out some popcorn and a bottle of water, and returned to her living room, her army bomb, BTS pillows and blanket all laid out, ready for her to settle in for the awards show. Awards season had just begun, and she was so excited to see what the boys would win. Every award filled her heart with joy, knowing that all their hard work and effort was finally being rewarded by the industry that shunned them in their debut days.

Checking her phone, she noticed that her chats were particularly busy, with discussions on red carpet fashion, the awards they had been nominated for, and their upcoming performance, which of course was always the last one to happen, to keep the biggest fandom watching. But Jax didn't mind, especially in awards shows. She loved to see what the other groups were doing and used the opportunity to add new songs she didn't know to her playlist.

Settling down, she placed her blanket over her legs and tucked one of her pillows behind her back and relaxed into it. She lived alone and had lost her family two years back in a car accident that had left her soul broken. And in her lowest moments when she wanted to give up, BTS had found her, and she had slowly been put back together, and now they and their ARMY were like her family.

Turning on the television, she sees an interviewer asking Namjoon questions about who they were wearing and their latest song, which he answered with a shy smile, those amazing dimples making an appearance. But she couldn't help but almost choke on her popcorn at the sight of the boys in the background in their own world, looking around, pulling faces, she was pretty sure she saw Jungkook hopping on one foot for who knows what reason, and Jimin was hanging off Yoongi, watching Namjoon. She wasn't sure what it was that Taehyung was up to, but it involved pulling faces and seemingly talking to himself before turning his attention back to the interviewer.

They all looked so handsome, Namjoon, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, and Hoseok were in similar black suits with white shirts, looking completely in control, absolutely owning the red carpet, Taehyung decided to go with a grey, pinstripe number, adding an extra touch to his look, and Yoongi opted for a black and white spotted jacket, helping him stand out.
