Squid Game (Pt 3)

[Warning ⚠: The following oneshot contains spoilers of Squid Game as well as mentions of d*ath and b*ood. Please read at your own risk. You have been warned]

[Third Person POV]

"Talk about what?" Lisa asked curiously.

"Stuff...things we couldn't tell anyone. I mean one of us will die anyways so not like we can expose anything" Y/N replied while giggling.

Lisa couldn't help but wonder how Y/N could be in a fit of smiles and giggles when everyone else is at the verge of death.

Nevertheless, Lisa sat down beside Y/N.

For a few minutes, both girls were silent until Y/N broke the silence.

"I heard you're from North Korea, what are you doing here then?" Y/N asked.

"I thought things would be better here" Lisa replied

"Well is it?" Y/N asked 

Lisa didn't answer, hinting to Y/N that Lisa's life in the South wasn't as its best.

"What about your family?" Y/N asked while playing with her jacket.

"Dad died during service, my mom got trapped in the North when we were trying to escape. I came to the South with my little brother. He lives in an orphanage while I'm trying to get  our mom back so that we can live together"

"hmm" Y/N replied while nodding her head, processing every detail that Lisa said.

"What are you gonna do if you win this whole thing" Y/N asked while staring at Lisa.

"Set my mom free and then buy a house so the three of us can live together happily" 

Y/N chuckled, "Ya, that's for your family. What about you? Don't you have anything you want? Like a place you wanna visit?"

"There is a place..." Lisa replied

"Where? I heard Hawaii is really pretty" Y/N asked the older girl curiously.

"Jeju-do" Lisa replied shyly

Y/N smiled, adoring Lisa's cuteness, "Jeju-do? why there?"

"Just because...its pretty" Lisa replied

Y/N nodded "It is, you should try drinking their martinis there...its amazing"

"Martini?" Lisa asked, unfamiliar with the new term.

"Wait....you don't know what's a martini?" Y/N shocked.

Lisa shook her head, slightly embarrassed that she didn't know.

Y/N giggled, "Yah, you really need to learn how to live like a southern, its okay once we leave we'll go to jeju do toge-"

Y/N finally realized something and immediately cut off what she was about to say

"Oh wait" Y/N chuckles bitterly "Only one of us gets to get out of here" Y/N continues as Lisa puts her head down, feeling guilty.

As time passed by, Lisa and Y/N got super close to one another. However, it was the first and last time they could ever see each other again.

Thirty-seven minutes past and almost half of the people in the arena had been shot and killed mercilessly by the guards.

Lisa looked up at the clock, three minutes left, she knew it was time.

With that she rose up and looked at Y/N who was playing with her jacket

Lisa smiled, admiring Y/N's cuteness but somehow felt upset that one of them had to be sacrificed.

However, Lisa got back to her straight face and called out to Y/N.

"Ya, let's do this" Lisa said as Y/N smiled softly while nodding.

Both girls rose and stood several meters away from the wall.

"One round and we're done. Whoever can throw the marble the furthest wins. Deal?"

Lisa nodded and they both prepared for the game.

"Its Lisa by the way" Lisa said before beginning the game.

"What is?" Y/N asked blurly

"My name...its Lisa" Lisa replied

"Nice name~ I'm Y/N!" Y/N said cheerfully

And with that they both began the game.

Lisa went first and she threw the marble as fast as she could.

Next was Y/N but instead of throwing it, she js dropped it purposely, indicating she lost.

"Oh no, I dropped it!" Y/N said sarcastically causing Lisa to burn up in anger

"WHAT THE FUCK Y/N? WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" Lisa shouted at Y/N furiously, pinning her to the wall.

"I told you, I'm gonna make you win no matter what" Y/N said while smiling happily.

"NO NO! GO DO IT AGAIN!" Lisa screamed at Y/N but the latter didn't move an inch.

"Its only one round, we promised and you won Lisa" Y/N replied with tears in her eyes.

"No no, there must be another way for both of us to survive" Lisa choked out with tears in her eyes.

"No Lisa there isn't. You have a purpose if you win the money, I don't." Y/N sadly said as Lisa stared at the latter, crying uncontrollably.

Soon enough, one of the pink guys arrived, ready to escort Lisa out of the arena.

"Take care of your brother okay? And good luck in Jeju-do~" Y/N said before being separated from Lisa.

"Lisa-yah~" Y/N called out as Lisa was being escorted out of the arena.

"Thank you...for partnering up with me~" Y/N said while smiling wholeheartedly with tears in her eyes.

Within seconds, another pink guard arrived and shot Y/N on the head, her lifeless body dropped to the floor as blood oozed out from her head. 

Lisa sobs quietly as she exited the arena, promising herself that she'll win the money not only for herself but her friend and crush Y/N.
