Sang Yeob took a swig out of the glass again. His eyes glued to the TV screen. A beautiful, elegant woman with a soft demeanour appeared on the screen. She was introduced as Goh Hyunjoo and she will be marrying her beau of 6 months this weekend. They met on set while filming for a high-gross romantic K-drama and had fall in love deeply and passionately. He had proposed and they are now eager to embark on their matrimonial journey. What a great love story; from reel life to real life.

Many thoughts ran into Sang Yeob's mind. Was the 3 year relationship he had with Hyunjoo been a farce? They fell in love on set too and it had taken him almost 2 years to approach her for a date. They have met each other's parents, went on a group date with friends and families. He knows what she looks like, every inch of her body and so does she. He was very sure after 3 years of whirlwind romance, he would want to make her his wife. He can imagined her in a beautiful white wedding dress, trails cascading down sweeping the red carpet as he stood proudly at the altar. He is ready to put a ring on it. Yes, he might take quite a while to propose and she has given him a lot of ultimatums but he knows she is "The One". He even announced on national TV that he would propose by the end of this year. But she was impatient. She keeps citing her age and fertility issues and her desperation to have children as soon as possible. Well, guess she finally gets what she wants. A perfect handsome husband and some children in the near future.

Sang Yeob turned off the TV and laid his head on both of his palms. Is a heartbreak supposed to be this painful? He could feel the tear dam breaking second by second. He took another swig of his drink and let it burned down his throat. He gently placed the glass on the table and laid on the sofa. Hot tears ran down his cheeks and he sobbed gently till he fell asleep. Guess, he will live life as a bachelor till his death.

The next day,

Sang Yeob felt a slap of coldness on his face. He woke up with a start and saw his good friend, Ju Wan with his arms crossed and a small empty pail on his hand. Sang Yeob sat up, his head was throbbing, eyes burning.

"You really need to stop being a huge-arse baby. You have a shoot in 1 hour and you are not even ready." Juwan dropped the pail on the floor near to his feet and Sang Yeob startled.

"Hyung, I am calling sick. Just so tired." He rubbed his eyes and stare at the blank TV screen forlornly. He knows he looked and smells like trash right now. Juwan looked at Sang Yeob sympathetically. Sang Yeob used to be more cheery. A conservative man with a lot of love to give, he will throw himself into a relationship, even a friendship with so much gusto that it can potentially scare the other person. Hyunjoo has always been open about her wants – she wants to get married and she wants children. Sang Yeob wanted all those too but was always hesitant, in fear that he will turned out to be a bad husband or father. Juwan knows that Sang Yeob kept an engagement ring in his pocket wherever he goes. When the time is right, maybe when the weather is perfect, or when the light shines at the correct angle, he will propose. Juwan has his suspicion sometimes. Maybe the reason why Sang Yeob was always hesitant was because deep down he knew Hyunjoo was not the right one. Sang Yeob can be a hopeless romantic and he wants a woman to be equally devoted to the relationship like he does. Hyunjoo can be hot and cold sometimes. Juwan sat beside Sang Yeob on the sofa.

"You saw the show yesterday, didn't you?" Sang Yeob clenched his jaw. Juwan left a huge sigh.

"Sangyeobie, just like that? You want to ruin your good rep, just like that? 13 years of hard work and all that for a girl who don't appreciate you for who you are. The things you have done for her? You are way better than that. She don't deserve you. I told you many times. You are young, handsome than most of us here in Korea, heck even more handsome than me. You can get anyone you want with a snap of your fingers."
