Kawaki's POV

The dazzling sunshine of the morning sun showers in the whole campus and the white adorable thing keeps his sleeping position on my lap.

I am witnessing how the sun lights down to Earth. I stopped by the rooftop and got to my favorite spot. Today is the school anniversary and I am here trying to be alone. I got on the campus early and I saw a lot of people who are busy with their booths and stalls. I stayed on the rooftop for almost an hour now.

I notice that the white-furred creature on my lap yawns and squints trying to look at what's going on around him. He looks up to me and I can't help but smile at him.

"You're awake, Kiwi. Look at the people roaming around," I tell him and he gestures like a human being and looks down at them. This cat is amusing.

I pet his smooth and beautiful white fur and he is loving it. I love how he gently pushes his head on my legs. He looks so cute when he does it.

Slowly, the crowd becomes bigger and bigger. A few people enter the campus wearing different uniforms from us. Outsiders.

I observe people going in and out of the gates. When you are in this spot, at the top of the water tank that is, you will witness the world underneath.

Meow... meow...

When I heard Kiwi make a sound I immediately look at him then he constantly meows at me and I realized that he is already hungry. He endlessly pushing his head on my lap.

"Wait here, I'll get you something to eat," I say and stand up. I make steps away from him without knowing that he is following me.

He makes a sound again and I can't help but stare back at him.

"Hey, stay here. I'll be back," I say to him and he sits down and looks at me like he is listening.

I stand up once again and walk off. I glance back and he doesn't move on his position. He will stay there and I don't have to worry. I completely leave the rooftop and I am heading to the oval for food. Even I have not eaten my breakfast yet.

This crowded place is suffocating. I don't like dealing with people who only appear to talk about stuff or other people. More likely criticize them. I found it boring and nonsense.

"Hey, that's the boy from Shoujo before, right?"

"Yeah, he got an expulsion notice for being a troublemaker,"

"Oh, poor him. He got to be sent to a not-so-popular school then. He deserves it by the way,"

This is what boring and nonsense are like to me. They don't even care if the person they are talking about is hearing them or not. Well, such people are not worthy of my time and attention.

I stop at a stall and buy some food. Food for me and Kiwi. When I turn to my right, I see the dork and her fatso friend at a dumpling booth. I ignore them and walk off the messy and noisy crowd. I head straight to the rooftop. I open the door and the gust of wind welcomes me.

"Kiwi," I call when I did not see him around. I climb up the tank and there are no traces of him. I look around the rooftop calling out his name but he is not coming out. What if he followed me earlier?

I leave the rooftop to look for him. I ask students in the building if they have seen a white cat around and sadly, they all shake their heads.

"I noticed a white cat running out of the building earlier," one of the students tell me. I nod as a response and leave. He might come back there.
