JUST LIKE THAT

CHAPTER ONE

"Aaaaarrrrgggggghhhhhh!"
"What is wrong with you young lady?" Papa asked, barging into my room.
" Nothing. Sorry"

Oh hi there. I'm Lynn, I'm 17 and live with my dad and twin. I just moved to Cali a week ago. I don't like moving; I hate the idea of "new school, new girl" but I'm okay cause my best friend is here with me. Another fact about me is that, I have a crush on Kirk Logan Hendrickson. Who is he? He's the only son of the multimillionaire couple;The Hendricksons. He's a model too and gets paid for it.

I'm a fan girl and I've been fangirling for 2 years now. I'm the popular official hypemaster for Logan; _lynn.nora but no one knows who she is, she is me! Lol. Enough of the introduction. I heard my phone vibrate and it was a call from Tyrice.

" Hey." I greeted.
" You called." He stated,rudely.
"Rude."
" I told you I was with Candace."
*his girlfriend *
"And so? I've been there before she came into the picture. "
" Omd. What is it, Miss Eleanora?"
"Whatever. I was just calling you to share my happiness. Logan liked my comment."
" Oh really?? That's cool. Simplicity always wins."
" Fake vibe"
" I'm trying here"
"Whatever. Is Candace with you right now?"
" Nah. She's gone to fetch something for us to eat."
"Mm..okay. Call me when she leaves."
" Okay. Bye."

After the call, I moved downstairs for supper. When I got there, Papa and Lloyd were already seated. Papa alerted Carmen to set the table. We prayed and ate immediately. After eating, I moved back to the room. It looked like Papa and Lloyd were not in the mood to talk.
I took my bath and dressed up,ready to sleep. I had a facetime call from Ty. He's now calling?

" Heyyyy. " he greeted. " Awn. Isn't that cute? Wearing a gift from your very handsome and hot best friend. "
" Ha!"
" Sorry for not calling earlier."
" Let me guess. Oh great,Miss Candace, girlfriend of Mr Tyrice Broderick Miller didn't give you permission?"
" Very sarcastic. Pretty Lynn, you know I hate it when you act this way."
" What way, Ty? I am forcing to like her for you but she's not reciprocating it."
" She likes you. She just has a different way of showing it."
" Why are you on me then? You should be telling her to like me in a normal way like I do."
" I always do."
" Whatever."
" I was calling to apologise. "
" Oh, there's no problem. "
" Okay. I'll call you tomorrow. Good night."
" Good night. "

I couldn't sleep so I just sat to think. How beautiful would it have been if I had another guy in my life apart from Dad or Lloyd or Ty? It makes it harder because Lloyd has Rissa; she's a beautiful soul and I pray they get married; hehe. Ty has Candace and I have no one. It's like I'm not the relationship type. Why? I used to date this guy, Kevin. He was amazing,perfect,just the guy for me. We dated for a year until he had to move back to Singapore to live with his dad. We still had it going on but we both realised it wasn't going to work out. We will still friends until we lost contacts.

My next boyfriend was Jake. He was a snake under green grass. He portrayed himself to be a good guy but it was all lies. He cheated on me with my very good friend back then, Eva Middlebrooks. She's now an enemy. Since Jake,I've not dated again cause maybe being single is better. Ugh! I'm overthinking again. I heard a knock on my door. It was Lloyd.

" Hey. Are you fine?" He asked.
"Do you really care?"
"Nope" he said sitting on my bed. "Dad asked me to check up on you."
" Why?"
" You left immediately after supper."
"Oh! I'm fine. Y'all looked annoyed."
" We were..tired. Anyway, have you researched on the new school?"
" The one I don't wanna go to? Nah."
" Why? Do I even need to ask?"
" I don't know."
"See,I know you don't changing cities and schools but this is gonna be the last. It's left with a year and we are done with high school. I know it's hard to start afresh but just cope and let's finish hard. I don't talk too much and you know that so if not if not for anything just listen this time. Good night. Love you. "
That is true;everything he said.

Beep beep beep
The sound of my alarm woke me up in start. Why do I even set an alarm when I have nowhere to go? I couldn't sleep anymore so just got up to take my bath. I put on some shorts and a baggy top on. I left my room right after just to see someone I wasn't expecting to see.

" What the hell are you doing here?" I asked.
" What a beautiful way to welcome your best friend. "
" Whatever. Why are you here? Why didn't you text or call me?"
"Why do you even have an attitude this morning?"
" I don't. "
" Suree."
" Is that how you welcome your best friend?" Papa asked, coming out from his study.
" Yeah. Ty is family now and he doesn't need to ask permission to come here." Lloyd also added,coming from God knows where.
" Bu-"
"But nothing! What's up,bro?" He shook Ty.
" Nothing much. I just came to pick Lynn up for a date we both agreed on and she's acting like this. Hm."
Why is this boy even lying?

" Lynn dear, please get up there and go get ready for your date." Papa said,coolly.
" But dad,I'm not ready."
"Let's not keep this fine gentleman waiting. "
" Listen to your dad, Lynn."
" Shut the f**k up, Ty."
"Language! Go get ready. I'm going to work,I'll see y'all later. "
He picked his bag and left with his driver behind.
I middle-finger saluted him and moved upstairs to change.

I just picked the first beautiful dress I saw. It was a blue polka-dotted dress;a gift from Aunty July when she came back from France. I wore it with my black Van's and picked my Prada handbag. After applying small makeup, I picked my phone and left my room.

" You look pretty like your name; Pretty Lynn." Ty said.
" That is not my name. I am Lynn."
" Why do you even still have an attitude?"
" I don't. Where's Lloyd?"
" Your dad's study."
" I'll go say goodbye to him."

I knocked on the door when I got there.
" Yeah? Come on in."
I entered.
" I'm going."
" Oh yeah. You look very pretty,Lynn. You should be letting your hair more often. "
" I think I should. Thank you."
" Have fun on your date."
" Thanks. Have fun... with..erm whatever.  Don't so anything I won't do."
" Get the fuck outta here"

I laughed out loud and left the study. Ty was waiting for me outside by his car. He opened the door for me to sit first before he entered. Gentleman. He started the engine and drove off.
I don't know what this boy has in store for me but it better be good.
