Oh my word I'm gonna be late always. I hear the car hoot. That should be the love of life I run out the gate ensuring I have closed it fully, I open the door to the car and smile at reaching for a kiss on the cheek but he pulls aways "Hey babe!" I ignore his reaction. "Hi." he says in a short quick answer. We are on the way to our closest friends 18th birthday party. The music filled the silenced car something felt off with him today. I turn to him staring at his dark gorgeous skin, looking at his strong arms gripping onto the steering wheel his thick brows are frowned he looks tense basically " what is the matter ? You don't look...You today " I wait for a reply...nothing
"JAMES !"... "Huh sorry I'm lost in my thoughts that's all "
Not convinced at all ,"penny for your thoughts?" He turns he head with a faint smile "Ayada its nothing okay ,anyways we almost there did you bring the gift for Tina ? ". Biting my lip knowing I forgot to even buy the gift "umm sorry ." I smile " No! no ! did you even buy it ? " shaking my head trying to look adorable. Nope it didn't work, He turns the car around heading to the nearest mall . " Sorry I have been busy...it just slipped my mind "
" I don't have to deal with this no more " his harsh deep voice said, trying to figure out his comment now I'm the tense and confused one a pit filled my stomach more like nerves .
We arrive at the party everyone has a cup in their hands ,chatting playing beer pong . I grabbed his hand like it the last time I will hold it we walk towards our group of friends. There I see Tina pulling James's hand with me
"Happy Birthdayyyyyyyyy Child !" I say excitingly giving her a big hug and handing her our last minute gift . James hugs her and wishes her a happy birthday . He whispers in my ear " I'm heading over to the boys " I smile at him as he walks away. "Aww you guys are so gross !" Tina says as we walk towards the other girls "Today he seems off I don't know ?" "Well you two have been together for two years ,so whatever is going its nothing you both can't fix " Tina eases my nerves with her words .
The party was amazing ,the food ,drinks and games. It is time to leave James and I planned a movie night ,but I was not feeling well so I asked if we could reschedule , he didn't seems bothered. On our way home there was small talks like did you enjoy the party? Did you see him with her ? Small like I said . Finally home, as I sit in car waiting for some reason "You wanna come in for a bit ?" I asked him "No , Ayada look there is something I have to tell " "Oksy ?" I say looking at him trying to figure out what he is about to say the same pit in stomach come rushing back .
"Look you know I love you right and we have been so much, but it has become a lot I can't handle it no more you mean a lot to me but I cant this anymore ...us no more but we can " my mind was racing it's my world stopped , couldn't breathe properly "okay " the only words that come out of my mouth. Getting out of the car feeling I'm about to faint ,James pops his head out the car shouts with a smile on his face "we can still be friends Ayada !"
I stare at him entering my house . "Shit did my heart just get broken ." Mutter to myself
