We jump to the year 2016

The first thing Bucky feels is a familiar headache. His head is throbbing, it feels like his head is about to explode, not to mention the dizziness. The dizziness makes him nauseous, but he's used to it by now. He lifts up his head and notices he is stuck. Not by his feet or body, but his arm is held under some sort of hydraulic press. Shit

He thinks about how he needs to free himself. He can't open the press, so he has to rip his arm out of it. Not ideal, but necessary. Bucky soon realises who holds him. A wave of relieve falls over him, at least it's not HYDRA or that crazy shrink who activated the Winter Soldier moments ago. At least, he doesn't think it was long ago. He can't remember. He hears helicopters flying in the air, they must be searching for him. He grunts as he tries to sit up straight.

"Hey Cap!?" Sam shouts.

Some guy standing in front of him calls to Steve. They're in some kind of abandoned factory. The air is damp and the place is cold. Why am I wet? Steve comes walking in the room. He looks agitated. Bucky already knows he messed up and leaves his head hanging. He's just hoping he didn't kill anyone.

"Steve...?"

"Which Bucky am I talking to?" he asks stern.

What? Does he want him to prove something? If I'm sane and not that fucking murder machine? He searches his broken mind to try to come up with something to prove he's in his right mind. "Your moms name was Sarah...." He grins as he comes up with the perfect thing to make him believe. "You used to wear newspapers in your shoes." He lets out a chuckle.

Steve smiles. "You can't read that in a museum. Who was that? What did that guy want from you?"

"I don't know. Fuck! I knew this would happen. All the goddamn stuff they put in my head is still there." He shakes his head, trying to lose the dizziness. He tries to move but can't because he is still stuck in that machine. That was a great idea by the way. "I can rip this fucking arm off if you don't want to release me." He beckons to his arm which is still stuck under the machine.

After Bucky is released, he tells about his time with HYDRA. "I'm not the only winter soldier. Hydra created a hand full of super soldiers, but I'm the only one that survived this long. Must be because of my... enhancement." He runs his normal hand over his metal hand. "I never met any of the other ones. I don't think they lasted long. They either got killed during missions or didn't survive the treatment, torture or mind control."

"I'm sorry Buck. I can't imagine what you have been through all those years."

"No you can't." He scuffs and sighs. "I'm sorry Steve. I'm never in a good mood after waking up from... that."

"We need to leave now Steve." Sam is looking to the sky. The helicopters have left.

"I know a save place." Steve replies.

It's an abandoned warehouse they arrive at. After some food Bucky goes to freshen himself up. He pulls of his ripped shirt and splashes water in his face. His full arm is exposed. Bucky hates it, he'd rather have just one arm then this thing. The metal has replaced his entire left arm and shoulder and a big red star on his upper arm. Scar tissue covers his upper back and upper chest where the metal ends and his skin starts. He notices Steve looking and quickly pulls on a fresh long sleeved shirt and puts on gloves to cover up the remaining metal.

"What do you want to ask me Steve?" He says as he sits down and crosses his arms. He looks up at Steve who doesn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry Buck..." he replies.
