Idiots

I looked around at my home one more time. 

“Farewell. I promise to never come back here.”

I walk along the river, the water rushing past me as if it has better things to do. I remember the occasions when Master and I actually did go to town or into the city, which was rare. We would always go along the river to get to town.  She even taught me how to canoe and kayak down to town and then we would always get ice cream after. I never wanted to go into town anyway.

 When we went into town people stared at us, pointed, and discussed between their friends. And I will never know why. It made me so uncomfortable, I didn’t even know what they were saying but I doubt it was anything good.

I looked up from my shoes and saw a little town in the distance. It always looks the same, busy but not too loud.

 “Ok, now that my plan is in action. I have to become a hunter. No, no, no, no. I think smaller y/n, think smaller.”

‘Oh. my. God. I am so dumb.’ 

“I don’t even know where Zabban City is.”

Then I saw two teenage girls looking at me and whispering.

“Omg. Is she talking to herself?”

“Haha, I think she is. She must be crazy.”

“Wait, I think she is the kid my parents were talking about that stayed in the mountains with some weird lady.”

“Oh my God. You have to be joking. Should I take a picture?”

‘Less like whispering if you ask me. No, stay on track. Y/n, focus. Just breathe. Some people are just idiots, it’s fine.’ 

A deep sigh escaped my body while I looked around for places to eat. I finally see a small cafe that I have never seen before. 

‘I guess this is where I will be eating.’

I walk inside.

“Oh wow. This is so cool” 

 The walls have a big aquarium wrapped along the wall. The floor is black and so is the ceiling. The only lighting is dark blue led lights inside and outside the aquariums. 

‘ Ah. This is so calming but soooo cold. Jeez, why is it so cold? Ah, the menu.’

“Ok, so they have soups, sandwiches, salad, and anything for lunch/dinner at a regular cafe.”

“Hello miss, what would you like to order?”

I looked towards the cashier and ‘DAMN! He is hot.

Maybe it is because I have barely seen other people before but with that fluffy hair and grey eyes. I might have just fallen in love.’

“Hello, miss? Can you hear me?”

‘Omg. I dozed off.’

 “Yeah, sorry must have dozed off. I would like a f/hd(favorite hot drink) and f/f(favorite food)” 

‘Oh God that was embarrassing!’

“Alrighty then, you have a great day. And the next time you’re around, give me a call” He winked and gave me the drink.

‘Huh? I wonder what he meant by that. Anyways.’

I sat down at a high top by the little fishies and looked at my drink. 

‘Ha! He gave me his number.’ 

“Yeah, oh yeah, he gave me his number. Yeah, oh yeah, mhm. He gave me his number.” I started singing quietly while doing a victory dance.
