Disclaimer: I don't own Ninjago, just the story and my OC's.
"I'm handing the leadership responsibilities back over to you," Mason told Max.
"I don't even know what we're up against," Max said. "You know more than I do, Mason. Right now, you need to lead."
Mason frowned. "Really?! I don't want to lead! I never wanted it in the first place, but Justin dumped it on me when he went on this mission!"
"Max is right," Alex said. "You know more about this than we do and we need you to be the leader for right now if we're going to find my brother and Rosie."
"Fine," Mason caved. "They weren't completely sure what their game was. Justin was originally going to go alone, but Rosie insisted on coming along for backup. Even after all the time they spent spying, they still weren't sure what they were doing. They were hoping they would figure it out once they found out where the main headquarters was. They found a map with certain locations marked, but they didn't know which one, if any, of them was their main headquarters."
"Let's see the map," Max said and Mason pulled it up. It showed five different locations in Ninjago City in the shape of a star.
"They have all those places in Ninjago City!" Alex exclaimed. "How could these guys have gotten all these places right under our noses!"
"When we discovered them, they had already started building a crime empire," Mason said. "We had dealt with a bunch a robberies and eventually connected them to the same group. That's why Justin thought it would be best to go on this secret mission." Mason sighed. "Maybe we should start checking each location one by one. It's the best lead we got." Everyone nodded.

Justin woke up with Rosie hovering over him. She looked worried, but wasn't currently looking at him. "Rosie," Justin said which got her attention.
"Justin! You are awake!" Rosie exclaimed as she helped Justin sit up.
Justin looked around. They were in a cell and the room that the cell was in was dimly lit so they couldn't see much. There was a couple of people outside probably guarding to make sure they didn't try to escape. "What happened?"
"After they took us, they turned me off and knocked you out so we wouldn't know the location they were taking us to. They turned me back on when we got here."
"And we don't know where here is." They both stood up. "Any idea what they want."
"No clue."
"Great."
"The only thing they told me is that their boss will be here soon."
"At least that's something. Hopefully, we'll be able to get information from their boss."
"Yeah."
The Monastery
Britney was washing dishes in the kitchen after dinner. The kids didn't join all the adults for dinner and they kept leftovers for them. However, they were joined by her parents. After talking, they decided to let them stay in the guest room for a few days. Britney was very reluctant about it, but she wants to see if they were being honest about wanted to be a part of her life again.
The other adults knew how Britney felt about her parents and knew that this was probably affecting her. Everyone had offered to do the dishes for her, but Britney insisted on doing it since it was her turn. For being the only one who lives in the house to not be a hero of Ninjago, she's a lot tougher than she looks and tries not to show how much stuff affects her.
"Hey Brit," Nya said as she entered the kitchen. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine," Britney said. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Your parents showed up after not caring for over 11 years. That would be hard on anybody."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"You don't have to try to hold in your emotions. You can talk to any of us. We're all here for you and I'm pretty sure that Kai is just waiting to be able to kick them out."
"I know, Nya. I'm just trying to see what their angle is. They always have one. If I decide they need to leave, I'll make sure to call Kai." Britney changed the subject. "I'm surprised Alex and Max didn't come join us."
Nya shrugged. "Maybe they went on a dinner date or maybe they're with the others. Jay and I were gonna go to the Samurai X Cave before we go to bed to check on everyone." Nya paused for a minute. "We're all going to watch a movie. Do you want to join us? It could take your mind off everything."
"Yeah. I'd like that. Let me just finish up." Britney continued cleaning dishes.
"Here. Let me help you." Nya helped Britney finish up with the dishes so they could go watch the movie faster.

Justin and Rosie were in the cell waiting for the boss of the people who captured them. They were hoping to get answers about what they were doing and why they thought that it was a good idea to capture the Master of Lightning and Samurai X.
After what felt like hours, the boss came in. "I'm here to meet our guests," he announced.
"What do you want?" Justin asked.
"You get right to the point, don't you?"
"I just want to know what you've been doing and why you captured us." Justin took a few steps closer to the jail bars on the cell.
The boss glared directly at Justin and he glared back as the two were only separated by the jail bars. "You really think I'll tell you all of my plans that quickly."
"Well, it would make it a lot easier for when I kick your butt." Justin tried to use his powers, but it didn't work.
"You would think that, being an elemental master, you would be able to recognize vengestone." Justin was shocked for a second, but quickly continued to glare at the man. "You don't have your sister around to use your twin power to break through the vengestone."
Both Justin and Rosie didn't know how this guy knew so much about elemental masters and Justin and Alex's twin power. That was something they actually kept secret from the media. For that battle a year ago when they first used it, they told the media that there happened to be a storm while the battle was happening since a lot of stuff during that battle was actually recorded. Lucky for them, the media believed it. They wanted to be able to have the advantage of villains not knowing about that special ability.
"Believe me, I know a lot about you guys, including some secrets," the boss said and looked at Rosie. Justin didn't miss that and neither did Rosie which left them both confused. "I'll be back a little later."
