"What did he mean when he said that he knows some secrets and looked directly at you?" Justin asked his girlfriend.

"I wish I knew," Rosie said.  "I have no idea what he was talking about.  I have no secrets that would be of interest to a villain."

"There has to be some reason he said that.   Anything that your parents might have said?"

"No.  I do not know anything."

Justin cupped her cheek.  "I won't let him do anything to you.  You know that, right?"

Rosie grabbed his arm that was cupping her cheek.  "I know, but I can handle myself.  How do I know that he will not try to do anything to you?"

"We don't, but we'll find some way to get out here.  We always do."

"What if we cannot get out of this situation this time?"

"We will.  We didn't check-in with Mason like we were supposed to.  They're probably looking for us as we speak.  For all we know, they already figured out where we are."

Samurai X Cave

Mason sighed and banged his head on the computer in frustration.  "That was a bust!" he said.  They had just got back from checking all of the locations on the map.

"They have to be somewhere!" Alex said.  "They couldn't have just disappeared!"

"Is there anyplace we could've missed?" Max asked.

"No, we have gone to every place on this map," Felix said.

"They had all of these locations and yet, we found nothing at any of them," Zeke said.

"Maybe it was a trick," Harper reasoned and they all turned to her.

"What do you mean, Harper?" Alex asked.

"I was just thinking that maybe they got all of those locations on purpose to lead us on a wild goose chase.  They let Justin and Rosie find that map and made it look like something big was going on at each of those locations until they got what they wanted."

"But what did they want?" Juliet asked.

"They wanted to capture Justin and Rosie," Max said.  "If Harper's theory is correct, they must've known that Justin and Rosie were looking into them and watching them and they cleaned all of their locations on the map once they captured our friends."

"But what could they want from them?" Alex asked.

"That's the big question," Mason said.

The Monastery

Jay and Nya had gone down to the Samurai X Cave earlier to check on the team.  They didn't expect Alex and Max to be with them in their ninja gis.  It has been months since they suited up with the others.  Jay and Nya had a feeling that something big was going on, but no one was telling them anything when the two questioned them.  They knew that their son was on a secret mission with his girlfriend and they hoped that nothing happened during that mission.  They didn't say anything to the other parents because they didn't want to worry them, especially with the fact that Britney's parents were currently there.  That was already making it pretty tense in the monastery.

"Why do you think Alex and Max were with them?" Jay asked Nya as they were laying down in their bed.  "They haven't been wanting anything to do with ninja business since that whole situation with Pythor and Emma."

"The only way that I believe that they would suit up with the others is if something big happened," Nya responded.  "You don't think something happened to Justin and Rosie, do you?"

"I hope not, but that would be big enough for Alex and Max to rejoin the team."

"It so much different having our kids be ninja instead of us.  We always have to worry if they're going to come home alright.  No one was telling us how their mission was going.  What if something happened to our son?!"

"Justin is strong," Jay reassured his wife.  "He's proven that he's more than capable as a ninja several times.  He also has Rosie watching his back.  He'll be ok.  They both will.  I'm sure they'll be back home in no time."

"I hope you're right."

Elsewhere in the monastery, Lloyd was looking for where Britney went.  He knows how much she hates her parents and has been wondering why she agreed to let them stay here for a few days.  Although, he doesn't want them staying in the monastery either, but he's letting Britney make the decisions about what to do about them because they are her parents.

He found her in the living room of the monastery just sitting in the dark on the couch and looking out one of the windows.  "Hey," he said with a small smile.

She turned around to look at her husband.  "Hey," she said and put on a fake smile, but Lloyd saw right through that.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong."

Lloyd sat down on the couch next to her.  "I know when something is wrong with you.  Is it your parents?  It's obvious you don't really want them here."

Britney sighed.  "I don't, but maybe they've changed.  I know how unlikey it is, but I can't help but hope that they did.  I know that I probably sound crazy."

"No, you don't," Lloyd reassured her.  "I told you about everything that happened with my father and every time he was evil, I hoped that he could change.  It's not crazy.  They're your parents.  It's ok to hope that they can change."

"Really?"

"Really.  If I didn't hope that my dad could change the first time that he was evil, I never would've gotten some time with him before he sacrificed himself to save Ninjago."

"But that was different.  Your dad was bitten by the Great Devourer which made him evil and you used your golden power to get the evil out of him.  My parents...they..."

"They what?"

"They meant what they said back then.  They meant it when they called elemental masters 'freaks.'  They weren't bitten by a snake that made them cold hearted.  We can't use some power to take evil out of them.  It was completely them."

"I know, but that still doesn't mean that they can't change at all.  By letting them stay here for a few days, you're showing that you want to give them another chance."

Britney nodded.  "I guess so."

"Why don't we go to bed?  It's getting late."

"Ok."  Britney grabbed Lloyd's hand and the two of them went to their room for the night.
