Ch 7

By the next few weeks I've gotten myself on a schedule with the boys. I usually wake up and help Chan cook and feed the others, then we head to practice and usually stay there until late into the night and then head back to the dorms. I'm usually the last to shower so I can get some time to myself and then immediately climb into bed and go to sleep after dinner. But these last few days have been different. I woke up with my joints slightly achy and easily got agitated with the boys over simple things. By Friday morning I wake up feeling nauseous and my stomach was cramping but I immediately chalk it up to me getting sick. Rolling out of bed I grab my clothes and go to get ready instinctively going to put my scent blockers on when I see my neck looks agitated and a little red. Frowning I decide not to risk putting my scent blockers on and instead put on some clothes I borrowed from Felix they a little big on me but doing the trick of masking my scent. I leave the bathroom and head to the kitchen to help Chan with breakfast when he suddenly stops what he's doing when he sees me a worried look appearing on his face. "Are you alright Nova? You look like crap." I give him a slight look. "Gee thanks. I'm fine Chan I promise." He goes to say something when Changbin enters the room and instead of his usual good morning he looks grumpy and aggravated. Frowning I go over to his side. "Hey you alright?" He gives me a once over a slight growl coming from his lips making me jump startled and look at him wide eyed. He looks at me with wide eyes also and immediately starts apologizing. "I'm so sorry Nova I don't know what's up with me I just woke up feeling strange." I give him a slight smile in understanding telling him it's okay. We sit down to eat breakfast I just moving my food around my plate not feeling very hungry. I do my job of collecting the plates and put them in the sink then follow the boys to practice. Once we start practicing and I'm surrounded by the multiple scents of alphas and betas I start feeling nauseous and dizzy like I'm going to puke. Suddenly half way through practice I feel a powerful and painful cramp run through my body and double over with a groan. Everyone stops looking at me in concern and that's when I can feel a deep puddle of slick coat my pants and my eyes widen when the strong scent of peppermint fills the air. I look around in panic making the others gasp in shock. I see myself in the mirror and there I am hunched over with a puddle of slick coating my pants and my eyes glowing a bright silver blue. Whimpering I double over as another cramp hits me and a wave of heat inflames my body and it's then I definitely know that I'm in heat. I can see Chan and the other alphas trying to cover their noses and back away from the scent of an omega in heat. That is everyone except Changbin. I suddenly smell the intoxicating scent of lavender and a whine leaves my throat as it gets stronger the closer he gets. I look up and see him standing there his eyes glowing bright red. Just as he's about to reach out and touch me Chan grabs him making him growl and I watch as Chan tries to drag him away. I can't help but let out a loud whine my inner omega taking over and I reach for Changbin before my vision gets hazy and everything goes blank.

(Chan's Pov)

Just as we're about to stop for a break during practice I see Nova double over in pain. I immediately look concerned and go to step forward but stop when the powerful scent of omega fills the air making my eyes widen. I immediately cover my nose the other alpha's doing the same but I see Changbin immediately try to get closer. Feeling worried for Nova I grab Changbin and try to drag him away when I hear a thump. I turn my head and immediately panic when I see an unconscious Nova on the floor slick covering his pants and his scent filling the entire room. Scrunching my nose up soon the scent of lavender joins the intense scent of peppermint and I look to see Changbin struggling in my arms his eyes glowing red and he snarls at me. Frowning I immediately groan. "Great we have an omega in heat and I'm pretty sure Changbin just went into his rut." Trying to keep Changbin away I suddenly feel a hard force against my jaw and let go in shock. I then watch as Changbin rushes over to Nova and picks him up cradling him against his chest and nuzzles against his neck. All of us stare at the scene when Felix speaks up. "I think they're mates." Frowning I run a hand through my hair. "Well we need to get them to the dorms before the whole building smells them." They all nod and Hyunjin steps forward only for Changbin to growl and Seungmin speaks up. "Changbin you need to get him somewhere safe or someone might challenge you for him." He seems to think that sentence through because he passes us and leaves the room. We all look at each other before quickly following on his heels. We finally make it back to the dorms and Changbin growls at us before going to his room where we hear the door lock. Sighing I look at the other boys. "Let's open all the windows then stay the night at the recording studio." They nod and quickly go to pack some things while I open the windows and then we quickly leave the dorm.
