your pov
i'll try to make it look pretty as i can for aesthetics, not my style but it'd work.
(school au) (platonic/romantic(?), however you wanna take it.)
very very light cussing, only one word.
nature, that was the only visible thing that gleamed upon your vision. euphoria seemed to amass itself with you, your steps never amiss. the grass hugged your feet, as the smell of wildlife pursued you. daisies, rosemary, plants of all kind decorated the ground like a mural, the artwork embracing its elements. the sound of wind and rain a nice accompaniment. wait, rain? it's not raining. your vision blurred itself, the mural sweeping away along with the wind, until you find yourself in a garden house, the glass panes reminding you of reality. you moved your head upward in a jagged movement, a cookie-like shape seemingly watering the plants.
"y/n? are you okay?"
the voice of herb cookie rang, the watering can ajar, the water settling on the round glass table. you sighed, you were daydreaming again. of course.
"eheh..yeah, i think?...." herb cookie simply nodded, pulling up a fantasy like chair of his own, and sat down. laid back on his chair, he asked,
"what were you thinking about?"
you looked out a glass wall, the flock of remaining students skidding about.
"nature." you replied, your back slouching to a 80° angle. he smiled, fiddling with a nearby plant.
"that's nice" he said, sparing the poor plant with his antics, a silence had overridden the two of you.
"ain't gonna apologize to the plant?" you mused, averting your gaze to the plant, the fine clay encasing it solid.
"yeah, but isn't that a bit embarrassing in front of you?" he replied, resorting to lightly patting the plant instead as an apology.
you shook your head, finding it difficult to hold up the conversation. he sighed, as the chairs weren't the best comfort place.
"you know, i used to daydream a lot too, and my friend used to complain about that a lot," he did tiny gestures as he talked, and you only listened in quietly. "my parents- they used to get on that a lot. said that i wasn't a scientist yet to forget, and i couldn't really daydream if i wanted to focus." he chuckled, seeming as if he was recalling a memory from long ago.
"always said that they were "superficial", you know"? you perked up, now interested on how herb cookie's daydreams could be anything even alike like superficial. smart, elegant, leader of the gardening club, that was who he was. the superficial part didn't seem even remotely similar to him. sure, he had the dreamy air to him, but that was because of his "aesthetic".
"they're acting way too artificial in my opinion then" you replied, fixing your posture to a even more relaxed position. He turned to you, asking,
"really?"
you nodded, saying how daydreaming could've been a escape from reality, and even with the daydreaming, you were sure he could still succeed. he smiled, and really, he agreed,
"a thing we have in common then" herb cookie commented, before saying,
"guess we shouldn't take people's judgement into account huh?" he said, waiting for a reaction, and when it came, he continued,
"if we do that we'd restrict ourselves too much where we wouldn't be able to mentally function well. im certain we are all important, so we should do what makes us feel good." he said, standing up to retrieve the watering can.
"except murder, of course." you joked, standing up, offering to help.
"murder, and smoking. do that, and you're gonna have to apologize to the plants."
well, he wasn't wrong about that.
