My New Family

Chapter Two

          I sit in silence as I watch Hoseok lead the group of three into the room. The first to enter the room is a tall hybrid, with grey-brown large round ears. He stops at the foot of the door to take a fast look inside and assure that there is no imminent danger within, before slowly stepping forward. The one next to him walked in once the tall one surveyed the room, and walked forward a few steps, before sitting on the small couch in the room. At this point, I have only seen the two tall hybrids enter the room, and before I could wonder where the third was, I saw a hand dangling from behind the tall man who first entered. I shift to my right in the chair so I could get a better look at the person behind the statue of a man in front of me. Peeking around on both sides, I meet the big eyes of the last person to enter the room, and as I let out a smile in his direction, I hear a squeak and I immediately lose sight of the large doe eyes that I was just in contact with.

Quickly shifting his gaze over to me, the tall man seems to observe me, cataloging all the small discrepancies in my demeanor before striding over to the couch where the other hybrid has sat, and gestures to the person behind to take a seat, before sitting down on the outside of the couch. Trailing my eyes on them as all of this is taking place, I can see that these three are going to be a definite package deal, and surprisingly, I would not have it any other way. Taking away my attention from the three on the couch, Hobi calls my name, and I look over at the red haired hybrid still in the door. "Y/n, I am gonna go back to the front desk, this door here goes back out to the front, so just open the door and yell for me if you are done talking or there is an emergency." He walks over to the door in the corner, opening the passage, pausing, making sure I affirm his statement.

Following him with my eyes, I respond "Alright, I will keep that in mind, thank you very much Hobi." He looks back at me, and smiling, he walks fully through the doorway, closing the door behind him. Steeling my nerves, I look over at the three beautiful hybrids on the couch, and taking a glance at the adorable bunny in the middle, I smile at the shy look on his face as he gazes back at me. "Hello you three, as you heard from Hobi, I am Y/n. I just wanted to visit with you three, and get to know you a little bit." The tall one on the right side of the couch looks at me for a short while before responding. "I'm Namjoon. As you can see, I am a koala hybrid. The bunny next to me is Jungkook, and the badger at the end is Seokjin-hyung." "It's very nice to meet you three." I say in response to the introduction.

"Well," I begin, "I am very interested in taking you three home, I really want to adopt all of you!" I complete, moving my gaze over the lot of them. "That sounds great, but I do have one question." Namjoon states, looking over at me. "What's the catch?" Taking in the view of the other two hybrids looking nervously at me, I quickly say "There is no catch, I just felt like something great was going to happen today, and I was planning on visiting this place for a while, so I decided to come in. From the moment I saw all of you, I felt like I just couldn't leave without you. My whole plan of adopting you three relies on your agreement. I don't have any ulterior motive, I just want to offer my home to you all."

"That sounds too good to be true," said the hybrid. "Can we talk about it together before we make our decision?" 'Of course." I stated as I stood up and walked over to the door that separated us from the energetic hybrid at the desk on the other side. I stepped inside the threshold of the door, and before I could shut it, I turned back to the three adorable people on the couch and told them just to knock on this same door when they finally made their decision. Stepping fully through the door, I closed it behind me and walked over to the currently unoccupied red panda at the desk.

"Hobi!" I sing as I walk over to him. "Y/N!!" He turned to look at me with a giant smile on his face, running around the desk to give me a tight, bone-crushing hug. "You're back out already?" He asked me, pulling back slightly from the hug. "I thought you really liked them." He looked at me, his happy smile transforming into a sad look.
