Leaving my work for others to complete was most definitely not me, but here I am, letting the new stack of papers collect dust on the top of my desk as I leave my office. Moving to the door, I step outside and close the food as I walk over to my long time secretary and tell her to move any remaining meetings from today and the remainder of the week to the next. Anders looks up at me and asks "I will do that now, do you need anything else before you go?" I looked at her on my way to the elevator and replied, "No, I will be ok for the rest of the week, if you need me for any important emergency, you have my number. Do tell me how your anniversary with Ross goes tomorrow when I get back." I watch as a blush fights its way up Anders neck as I continue my walk to the elevator. "Hey! " Anders exclaimed as the elevator doors closed and I pressed the button for the basement as I smile to myself.

Using my phone to double check the hours of the hybrid adoption agency, I made sure I was able to make it to my destination before closing hours. I don't know why I have a wonderful feeling about my luck today, but I think something amazing is going to happen. As the elevator doors open, I make my way out onto the concrete floor of the garage, throwing my phone into my back pocket. Heading to my car, the latest model SUV, I grab my keys from my pocket and unlock my doors. Hopping into the driver's seat, I make sure to grab my phone from my pocket and throw it in the cupholder before I get my seatbelt fastened. Putting the name of the hybrid adoption agency into my phone, I head out of the garage and onto the streets of New York.

After driving for a while in heavy traffic, I am finally able to pull into the parking lot of the agency. Pulling into a parking spot relatively close to the building, I unfasten my seatbelt and grab everything I need before heading in. I pull open the door, and before I can look around, I hear a very happy voice call out "Welcome in!" I immediately turn my head to the person behind the desk, and see a 20-year-old looking man with bright red hair, small white and black colored furry ears and a heart shaped smile watching me as I walk in. I turn my body towards the desk, and start heading over in his direction. "Hello, this is the hybrid adoption agency, correct?" He looks up to meet my eyes, and confirms my question with a quick "Yes it is! Are you interested in adopting a specific breed today?"

I think for a minute before answering his question with "No, I don't really have a preference. I am hoping I could walk around and see who is available for adoption." He stands up from the chair, and quickly rounds the side of the desk to meet me on the floor before taking my hand and walking me to the see-through glass door on the wall next to the both of us. Walking through, he looks over to me and states, "I'm Hoseok, but you can call me Hobi!" Glancing back over, I give him a small smile in return, and introduce myself "I am y/n, it is nice to meet you."

Pulling me by the hand, he first leads me to the room labelled with a plaque next to the door reading 'DOGS' and we both take a look through the clear door. As I look through, Hoseok is explaining to me the current conditions of the hybrids living at the agency. "Everybody here gets their own bed and three sets of clothes! The owner makes food for every meal, making sure that everybody gets food good for their own diets!" I nod my head as I watch through the door, a group of hybrids in their canine form wrestling in the middle of the room as the other canine and humanoid hybrids do their own thing all around the room.

"I am glad to see that everybody is happy and healthy living here." I say to the hybrid next to me as I decide my thoughts about the lupus hybrids in the room beside us. "Yes!" Hobi exclaims as he looks at his friends in the room, "Ms. Calli makes sure that we all are all happy and taken care of, every morning when she arrives, and every night when she goes home! And did you see anybody you want to visit with before we move on to the next rooms?" I shake my head as I say, "No, I don't think I saw anybody who I want to visit with in there." Keeping a smile on his tanned face, he quickly lets out an "Ok, " as we move to the next room down the hallway. Opening the door to the next room before stopping at the secondary door inside, Hobi states to me, "This is the reptile room, and it is a little warm in here, we have to keep it up so everybody can regulate their temperatures and not get too cold!"

Taking a peek inside, I quickly decide that this type of hybrid is not for me. Just a quick peek at the scales immediately gave me goosebumps as I immediately remembered my mediocre fear of snakes before I turned to Hoseok and shook my head at him. "I can definitely say that I do not think that I will be bringing any type of reptile home with me today." Taking his eyes off the people in the room, he looks over and gives me his opinion of the species living one door away. "Yes, I would agree with you, but after working here for a while, I don't hate snakes anymore! But let us move onto the next room!" Walking out of the outside door, we continue down the hallway. Moving further in, I spot a water fountain on the wall right next to a door.

Taking my hand back from Hoseoks', making the man pause as I make my way over, and take a quick drink of water,  "Y/n!" Hoseok whines, walking up to me as he tries to take my  hand again. "One second Hobi, I am just a little thirsty." Taking another sip from the fountain, I stand back up as I take a glance in the transparent door next to us. I look over to see three hybrids with different ear shapes in the room by themselves. Before taking my eyes off the few in the room, I ask Hoseok, "Why are these three all alone?" Moving closer to me, finally able to grasp my hand once more, he joins me on looking in the room at the secluded hybrids. "Oh! That's because they have chosen a room together. I'm not really sure why they wanted it all together, since they arrived with each other not too long ago, so I'm not really that familiar with them, but we did have an open room that they could be comfortable in."

Continuing to stare in the room, I was trying to figure out why I didn't want to leave even the area around this door. "Hey Hobi," I begin, "Can I talk to them?" He immediately looks back to me and questions "Are you sure y/n? These guys haven't exactly been friendly to anyone who wanted to see them since they got here, but if you're really sure, I can bring them to a separate room. We can't have visitors in the common rooms." I affirm my choice, and nod my head as I say "I am sure Hobi." Pulling me along by our connected hands, I am finally able to move my eyes away from the occupants of that room to quickly shift my gaze to the path in front of me. Bringing me down to the end of the hallway, passing a multitude of doors, he finally selects a door to bring me to. Opening the entryway ahead, he deposits me inside of the room, and asks me once more if I am sure I want to visit with the three separate hybrids. I say again that I am definitely sure that it is them I want to see, and with that confirmation Hoseok leaves the room, making sure to shut it behind him.

As I am waiting in this secluded room, I take a look around to familiarize myself with the layout. I notice another opening in the corner, as well as a small couch and a couple stray chairs scattered about. I choose to grab one of the chairs and take a seat across from the couch before the group arrives. Thinking over my decision to visit with all three of the hybrids, I run over the layout of my apartment mentally to make sure they would all fit, debating the size of the spare rooms trying to think if I want to upgrade to a penthouse to make sure everyone would be comfortable.

At this point, I am beginning to hear footsteps beyond the other passageway in the corner of the room, and I quickly bring myself back to reality, and steel myself before the ragtag group heading my way make it through the door.
