What in the freaking hell was I thinking when I kissed him? He probably thinks that I am a desperate maniac, she thought, walking from one side of her bedroom to the other, well, of course he kissed me on the forehead, but maybe it’s probably to get inside my head and haunt my dreams which he had already succeeded in doing but still! What am I going to do?

Of course, she can’t deny the attraction she felt for him. It was something stronger than what she felt for Bryan. Bryan, who’s name she couldn’t even think about without feeling hollow was gone, replaced by Michael.

She really needs to stop thinking about him. True though sometimes he was an arrogant jerk, but just as Sofia said, he had a good heart.

But it won’t do her any good to fall for a guy whose mother was good enough to provide her a temporary place to stay which she had begun to call home.

She headed towards the kitchen to make her favourite jelly to be met by Michael. He was there with ingredients to make the toast she made him the other day but boy was he lost. He was scratching his head not knowing what to do.

“Stupid cooking!” he grumbled under his breath, muttering curses which would have probably given Sofia a heart attack. She couldn’t stop herself from bursting out with laughter.

“Oh yeah, keep on laughing. Glad to be your entertainment,” he said, without turning. “Can I have a little help here?”

“Yeah sure, what do you want me to do?” She imitated the same way Michael did when they first met.

He smirked, “How about a kiss to motivate me?” She grew red as a tomato that he roared with laughter.

“Just bring me a toast. I will be in my room. Got some work to do.” And with that he went, smirking.

She sighed.

She doesn’t even know how much control she has on me. It was not as if she was my mate or anything but he couldn’t shake off the feeling either.

“Hey dad, how’s the training going?”

“Not that bad, son. The youngsters are catching up,” came the reply from the other side of the phone.

“You okay? You sound tired dad. You know that I can train them,” he said.

“No, no son. I need you there. Anyway, how’s my niece. Mom told me that you are growing the hots for her,” said Mr. Greymund.

“Oh, mom wish,” he said, god, can’t they ever keep a secret from one another?

“Anyway, I think it is time to tell her the truth.”

He was so shocked that he almost dropped the phone. “But dad, no way. She’ll probably leave us.”

“Better to tell who she is before she leaves here and walk into her death.” He started to protest but he knew that his dad had a point.

“Okay,” he said and cut the line. How can he start that conversation? She will hate him forever but he knew that she was suspecting herself already thanks to his friends. He was dragged into reality when there was a knock on the door.
