Alexa

What are they doing here? she thought, furiously and was going to ask so when a woman stepped in front.

“Hello Alexa,” a tall, tan woman with long red hair, who looked to be about twenty-six, said refraining her from speaking, “I’m Atlanta Sullivan.”

“I’ve nothing to do with you. Why did you come here anyway? Did Margaret sent you?” she demanded, her voice hardening.

Atlanta’s eyes grew cold as every other woman tried to maintain their cool. “I could have told you why we are here if you didn’t choose to interrupt us.”

Alexa’s clenched her jaw but kept her mouth shut, let’s see where she’s getting at.

“She’s no longer with us. We banned her from coming to our team again and if we ever saw her, we won’t hesitate to kill her.”

“How did you find out that she works for them?”

“I don’t think that’s any of your business.”

Seems like I’m in her bad book, Alexa thought, I don’t care anyway.

“Then why are you here?”

“Got to know that Margaret helped them kill her own mother and your mother too. She has been working for both sides since she left her mother. We are still searching the reason why, but we still got no answer to that. Those blood-suckers-”

“What if I told you that I am a vampire too?”

“Oh, we know. But you are a half vampire. Half human, half vamp. So, we can tolerate you a little.”

Despite her anger, Alexa had to smile as Atlanta’s eyes twinkled. “Where’s that little werewolf who was kept by that blood-sucker?”

Alexa’s eyes widened; how did she know about Bryan?

Apparently, Atlanta sensed that she was pondering that as she replied, “We have clans of vampire hunters throughout the continent. Let’s say that we were keeping track.”

“Okay, but you still didn’t tell me why you are here.”

“Since you are now at war with vampires, you will need a helping hand,” she said smiling. “And that means we get to clear out many vampires as possible.”

Alexa looked at her and sensed that she was being sincere. She really does want to help her so… why not? She nodded gratefully.

“Hey Alexa! Michael called you to-” said Rick, coming around the corner, but faltered as his gaze settled on Atlanta. He whistled. “Oh girl, you single?”

Alexa rolled her eyes and had to yell at his ear to get him to focus, while the others just giggled looking amusedly at Atlanta, who tried hard to keep a straight face. Alexa could sense that there was already something going on. Rick was not normally a guy who ask out a girl as soon as he sees her unless she was- his mate.

Atlanta cleared her throat. “So, Alexa, shall we come in and-”

“Please do,” Rick said, “follow me.” while Alexa looked at him, dumbfounded.

When did this become his house?
