Ch.16

Just as promised, Yumu and Yaku were staying over at my house, instead of just a play date I actually have them for a sleepover. My dad and his wife had left for their anniversarie, leaving Tsumugu and I to babysit them until tomorrow. "I really hope it's not a problem" I rubbed my neck while smiling at Tsumugu.

I actually hadn't told him until now, he shook his head "it's fine, I don't mind at all" he muttered while staring down at my two half-sibling's that hid behind my legs. "You didn't tell us that you lived with a boy" Yumu muttered as she looked him up and down.

"Yeah, I didn't think [Yn] would have a boyfriend.." Yaku stuck his tongue out at Tsumugu. "Ah no, no, Tsumugu isn't my boyfriend, we just live together" I explained while waving my hands in front of me. Yaku smiled "good, because you're all mine, right? No one will take my big sister away!" Yaku hugged my legs protectively.

"Yeah! [Yn] isn't allowed to date anyone, or else she won't have time for us anymore!" Yumu held her hands in fists as she wined, with a sigh I crouched down "sure.." I muttered. The two twins giggled and both jumped onto my back.

"Hey, maybe one of you would prefer to go on my back" Tsumugu suggested when he saw me struggling to carry them both "no! We want our big sister!" They both yelled in unsion. "Well, if you both sit on her back she'll get hurt, you don't want her getting hurt do you?" Tsumugu protested.

They both looked at each other with a worried expression, Yuku jumped off my back immediately and rubbed his arm up and down. Tsumugu crouched down "come on then" he smiled at the boy. Yuku scoffed and hopped onto his back, clinging on by Tsumugu's neck.

Carrying them inside I dropped them off in my room "I guess I could get extra futons.." I put a finger to my chin trying to think of the sleeping arrangements. "We want to sleep in your bed with you!" Yumu yelled while pouting at me with big eyes.

"I don't think we would all fit in there-" I state while awkwardly smiling at her "n-no! Yuku and I are really small! I promise we'll fit!" She wined while rubbing her eyes. Sighing I gave in "okay..I guess we could away try-" I sympathetically smiled towards the small girl.

Letting them have some time to themselves, I left the room to go and start up dinner. "You were always really good with kids" Tsumugu spoke up, I jumped from being startled. I hummed in reply and then stepped into the kitchen "I'll cook dinner..might watch a movie- then bed?" I listened with my fingers.

"Sounds good" Tsumugu agreed while walking up next to me "want some help with cooking dinner?" He asked while tilting his head. "That would be very appreciated" I smiled and nodded. We got into cooking dinner, I had decided to make a big roast since their was more of us in the house then per usual.

"Woah! [Yn] is a good cook!" Yumu's eyes sparkled as she bit into her food "ah, Tsumugu did most of the work.." I muttered under my breath as I pouted to myself about it. I then happily watched as the two twins stuffed their faces with the food. "I'm done!" Yuku yelled cheerfully while lifting his plate up for proof.

"What about the professor?" Tsumugu questioned as he bit into his food, I glanced towards the hallway "he said he was just going to eat in his room so the kids wouldn't feel uncomfortable around a total stranger or something" I muttered through my food before swallowing.

"Okay, I'll go wa-" "no! I'll do it!" Yuku cut me off and brought his plate over to the kitchen sink, he went onto his tippsy toes to turn the tap on "Okay.." I muttered, slightly anxious that he was trying to do it all by himself. "Yuku doesn't want you to have to do stuff, he was really happy when he found out we had an older sister so he doesn't want to push stuff on you" Yumu explained.
