Ella and Leo (Brothers Best Friend)

11 - Out of town

The next week.

Monday

Mum and Dad are out of town for the week. Chase is at a football camp Leo is staying at my house for a week. A true escape.

I was in the first period, sadly Leo wasn't in this class.
English was nearly over I had History with him next. I heard a fire alarm go off, slowly lifting my head A black cloud of smoke flooded the halls. Standing I saw out the window most of the school on the grass. My class was trapped the fire had blocked all three fire exits. By now I knew that the rest of the school was outside but we are still trapped.

 Soon smoke engulfed everywhere I couldn't see in front of me, I was scared I could hear my teacher yelling to go to the windows. I saw the hundreds of students waiting on the grass. I knew Leo was worrying about me and I hated it. A fire truck on the ground was  putting up a long latter  a couple of the students at the front started escaping the flames. I was so scared trapped in here but going down a latter from the 4th floor is not a dream either.

I finally got out and was greeted with worried faces but I was searching through the faces to find him when I saw him he ran to he and hugged me tight. "I'm okay" 

 "I was so worried" he said with his head in my neck I heard someone behind me clear their throat a fire fighter smiled telling me they had to make sure I was okay. I got checked out by the paramedics before we all got sent home, school was canceled for the rest of the week.

I called my mother she said she is very persistent on coming home.
"No no Mum I'm fine and Leo will be here I promise I'm fine" I tell her it wasn't easy to convince her but she caved and let me stay as long as I called her often.
I got a week off school and got to live with my boyfriend in my house alone, wow how my life has changed since last year.

"El you in here" I hear Leo say from behind my door.
"Yeah come in" I say back to him.
"Your mum coming back" he said playing with my pillow.
"No I talked her out of it" I say smiling.
"Yay" he said smiling and holding our his hand.

I take his hand and stand up. "Where are we going" I say. "Somewhere" he said dragging me out of my room.  

"Interesting" I say smiling as he leads he to my backyard.
He pressing on play on a speaker and soft music started to play.
"May I have this dance" he said
"You may" I say laughing. 

He takes my hand and spins me out, my head against his chest. Dancing in between his feet.
"I love you" he whispered into my ear. "I love you" I tell him back "when you were in that school today all I wanted to do was run in there to you" he said
"The whole time I was in there I wasn't worried about me, I was thinking about how worried you were" I say to him kissing his neck.
"I know we aren't even out of high school" he said sighing.
He pulled out a ring and placed in onto my finger.
"It's not  just a promise ring, it's a promise that when we leave high school, we are going to leave this place and get married" he said into my ear "if you will take me" he said. 

"I wouldn't want anyone else" I speak only the truth, touching the beautiful ring.
"The second we leave high school it will be us against the world, me and you my love" I say to him before gripping his neck and pulling him into a soft kiss that held a lot of force. It lasted awhile before it got dark outside and we went inside.

My toxic brother had tried to make us break up and what if it happened again I have trust that it will not separate us, and only make us stronger.

That week went by fast it was full of late night pizza not going to bed. A lot of laughing. Playing bored games that I didn't remember we even had. Falling asleep in Leo's strong arms and his colon was now all over my house and I loved it.
