Chapter 6

Y/n's pov
"You little bitch. Did you really think you can run away from me?"
Wait. Was that... dad?
"You got a mouth don't you? Speak up before i hit you with this bottle"
Why are you here?? Aren't you supposed to be back in (country)??
"The little brat won't talk eh? You're brave enough to go against me?"
How did you find me?
"A little slut like you won't be getting away from me."
What is this? Why can't i speak? It feels like my whole body froze. MOVE BITCH MOVE. RUN. NII-CHAN HELP.
"No one will help you. You're all alone here. Nothing can stop me."

"(Y/n)?? Please wake up"
I opened my eyes as soon as i saw him walking closer. I woke up with my cheeks stained with my tears and my forehead damped with cold sweat. I looked around to see Mori-nii, sitting down on my bed with a terrified look on his face. My breath was unstable. I couldn't help but burst into tears. Mori-nii hugged me as i sobbed on his shoulder. "It has been a week since this happened" i said in between my sobs. "W-what if he finds me? What if he finds out that i've been with you this whole time? What if he hurts you and my friends?  W-what if-"
"Shh calm down. Deep breaths (y/n) that won't happen. If it does happen, me and our parents will be there. We won't let that man touch you, okay?"
I nodded in response before diving back into his shoulder. It hurts so bad. The memories i tried so hard to erase won't go away. Every time I try to erase them by enjoying what i have, it comes back to me as if it won't let me be happy. Where did it all go? Where did the happy me go?

Timeskip to school (before class)

"You look tired." Kenma said while playing his switch as i walked into class. I sat on my chair and faced Kenma who was positioned behind me. I didn't answer because I didn't know what to say anymore. The nightmares and exam week isn't the best combination at all. I grew tired this week. I laid my head on Kenma's desk and used my arms as rest for my head. My eyes felt heavy, probably because I haven't been getting good and enough amount of sleep at night.

Kenma's pov
Light snores were heard. I lowered my switch to see where the snores came from. "You really are tired huh" i said when i saw (y/n) asleep on my desk. Honestly, she's been looking very tired this week. I can't help but wonder why. I wanted to ask Yaku but i think she's just tired from studying. It's exam week and the volleyball club needs to pass the exam to be able to joining practice camp. It's not rare for someone who cares about their grades to get tired from studying all night. I'm sure our manager will pass.

I placed my switch in my bag before i went back to (y/n).
How adorable. I thought as i tucked in her hair behind her ear. I watched her breathe slowly, seeing her calmly sleep gave me peace. Not long after, Yaku came in. "Checking in on (y/n)?" Yaku nodded and asked if i could talk to him for a bit. I nodded and went outside of class with Yaku. "What's wrong?" I asked. "You've noticed how (y/n) has been tired this week, right?"
"Yeah. It's because of the exam week, right?"

"Yes and no. She didn't tell you anything, did she?" I shook my head in response. I can't help but get nervous. Was there something wrong?
"If she's not telling then i am. Kenma, (y/n) has been having nightmares about her past. Specifically when she was living with her dad" I instantly understood what Yaku meant. "Poor girl tried so hard to study for this exam. But when it's time for her to rest, she gets scared." I can feel the sadness in Yaku's eyes. He loves his sister so much that it hurts for him to see her like this. "I said that i will help you get closer to her until you ask the question right? When that day comes, and when she accepts, please do me a favor in return" He took a deep breath before continuing. "You know i will be graduating soon and I won't be able to watch her when i leave for college. Please be there for her." I nodded. Yaku smiled towards me then gave me a pat on the shoulder. "I'm counting on you"
