DreamNap, platonic, angst, not requested, Minecraft manhunt irl but different

Each year, a group of hunters needed to go after the criminal Dream. This time, someone got selected who seemed a bit too familiar to Dream.

TW/CW: physical fight, death, wounds, dead bodies, weapons, yelling, caps, swearing, playfully pushing/yelling, watching people die, panic attack, manipulation

Characters: Sapnap (he/him), Dream (he/him), George (he/him), Badboyhalo (he/him)

A/N (really light 28/11 lore spoilers): more DreamNap angst if y'all didn't have enough off it yet (I totally didn't cry at that /s). I decided to spend my little motivation on this book, so I hope y'all enjoy! <3 (also thank you for 100+ reads, that's crazy!)

1796 words excluding intro + A/N

Sapnap POV:

Badboyhalo, or Bad as he wanted us to call him, was setting up our camp for tonight. We were a group of three people that had to go after Dream. Me, Bad and George. I really didn't want to go, but it's not like I had much of a choice. Once you're chosen, you have to hunt him down, otherwise you're going to get killed. Not like there's a high chance you'll live if you do go after Dream, he murders every group of hunters that follows him, but I don't blame him for that. It's the mission from the hunters to kill Dream, so if he doesn't kill them first, he's the one that will die.

Third person POV:

"SAPNAP! Bad wants us to make some food, so come and help me!", George said annoyed while he tugged at the sleeve of Sapnaps shirt, hoping he would come with him.

"I'm coming, calm down George." Sapnap laughed a bit as he removed Georges hand from his arm and started to walk next to the brunette. He was still very nervous for this mission, but he was lucky he had Bad and George with him. The three didn't know each other well before they were chosen, but they immediately had a click. Him and Bad have a sort of son-dad relationship, while the relationship of George and Sapnap was more like siblings, they'll yell at each other all the time, but they still care for one another.

The sun wasn't even up yet when Sapnap woke up. He had trained himself to always get up early, so he could do more things in the day. It now came in handy, because they had been in the same place for way too long, and that wasn't a good thing when they needed to kill someone. The raven-haired boy stood up and walked towards the tents where George and Bad were sleeping, to wake them up.

Dream POV:

The new hunters have been selected. Of couse I didn't know who were selected yet, and I also couldn't care less. They are just another bunch of people that I have to kill, just like all the past ones. I sighed to myself. Sometimes I just wished that I could go back to the old days, just hanging out with my best friend, doing stupid shit we shouldn't have done and more. But I can't go back anymore, now I'm one of the most, scrap that, the most wanted criminal. When you're in my position, you can't just go back to your home village and say you've changed your life or some shit like that.

I shook my head to get rid of those thoughts and get back to work. I had to find the hunters and spy on them for a little bit. Without information on how they fight and what their techniques are, I stand no change. This, of course, didn't scare me, because I have succeeded every time I needed to do this.

Luckily the sun wasn't up yet, so I could look for any light they could have made around their camp. And yes, just like all the other stupid hunters, they were easy to find, maybe a little harder, because the light they still had on was less than normal, but it was still easy for me. I hopped onto the last tree, and now I was able to see their camp clearly.
