As lyric was about to open a greeting to him, Loki harshly interrupted with a taunt, "You are the sixth person who has attempted to get information out of me. Everyone else failed. And you will too." Lyric hummed, knowing that his insults would persist.Lyric ignored his comments and truthfully informed, "I actually don't interrogate people. I was just told to sit in on you." She sat her duffle bag on a nearby table and opened it up, pulling out a Caprisun.
Loki glared at Lyric, noticing a change in atmosphere around him. He inquired suspiciously, "What gas led you to think that I will speak to you?"
Lyric fumbled with the Caprisun straw, trying to get it in the puch before answering, "Because I need to tell Director Fury whether or not you'll pull this kind of stunt again. It ain't really an interrogation, it's more like a status report. Oh...dammit..." The straw bent as it entered the Caprisun. Lyric took a small sip before continuing, "Or it's like I have to give Fury a session brief like a therapist would. So I'm kind of like your therapist."Loki hardened his icy eyes before snarking in boredom. He scoffed, "Oh, please spare me the tedious mortal banter. I know how this will play out: you are going to ask me how I got to the Tesseract, then about who gave me the sceptre or what compelled me to take over Clint Barton's mind. You will follow up by saying that you humans are more powerful that I previously thought, and that the Avengers saved the day."
Lyric squeezed the last few drops of juice from the Caprisun before throwing it back in her bag on the table. As she slid a small chair over to where she was previously standing, she corrected, "Actually, I wanted to know if you had any questions."
Loki was taken aback and started at Lyric cautiously. He shifted away from her slightly, "Whatever you are attempting, it will not work..." His eyes surveyed the area, noticing that the mood altered to a more casual one. He thought nothing of it and continued to hold his furrowed expression.
Lyric had already sat down. She knew what she was doing. Give Loki a false sense of control, give him a chance to let down his guard...then she will transfer her spirit into his to get whatever information she needed.SPIRIT
TRANSFERENCELyric insisted, "There ain't any ulterior motive to it. You can ask whatever you want. I might know the answer."
Loki nodded, still cautious of the situation, "...Alright."Loki paced around his cell before finally asking questions, "How long have the Avengers been assembled?"
"From my understanding, the Avengers Initiative was formed almost immediately after S.H.I.E.L.D. was created. Apparently, it didn't last long for whatever reason. And it wasn't till you came along that the Director thought it wise to get the band back together. So...I'd say about thirty hours." Lyric responded candidly, leaning back in her chair.Thinking about another question, Loki smirked, "Explain gamma radiation to me."
Lyric thought back to her buried high school science knowledge, "If I can remember correctly, gamma radiation is also called gamma rays, y'know like any other type of radiation. It's used in x-rays and is extremely dangerous. Scientifically, it's a sort of packet of electromagnetic energy procured by the nucleus of some radionuclides after radioactive decay." It had been a while since she had been in a science lecture or class. She assumed she got it right.Loki's eyes glinted in amusement. He liked asking this rapid fire questions. He would keep asking until Lyric could not give any more answers, "What was the serum called that enhanced Steve Rogers?"
"The Super-Soldier Serum. It turns an otherwise fragile human body into an unstoppable force. It hasn't been in production since the Cold War." Lyric did not hold anything back from Loki. It was not like any of this information mattered or was a secret. Pretty much everyone knew this information, and since Loki would be leaving for Asgard later that day, he could not do anything with this knowledge.
