Paul's POV
It was one day after my birthday and school had started again. Art, me and Ed drove to school with our bikes. Everything was totally normal. Art and I chatted, we toke our classes. But than finally my baseball training started. It was the best thing in the week besides Artie. If there wouldn't be this jerk Anderson. Anderson was the captain and so had all the rights to mock on me and especially my size. During the last match he pushed me while I was trying to acive a home run and that's why we lost, but he told me it was because auf my size. I have had an argument with him on the field and was so furious that I hadn't even noticed that my arm was really hurt and I actually bled a bit. Thankfully my Garfunkel had rushed down on the field to help me or rather help Anderson, since if Art hadn't hold me back I would have killed him that day.

And now Anderson was mocking again. "Oh look there isPaul. Oh wait I can't look down so much... Hey Paul how is the air down there...Paul, have you shrunk again. I swear last time you could at least go till my breast...It's a wonder if you can even reach anything from down there...Paul, your parents must be so sad with such a little pussy baby. You not even a man with this height...You will never get a girl. How should she kiss you? She would need to come down on your level." I ignored all of this. I was used to it. "Can we start?",I asked annoyed. "No! I have an important new rule. Because of the last match only people that are taller than 5.4 are allowed to play in my team." "It's not your team! It's the school's team!" "Mr. Overstreet had already agreed." Obviosuly he had. Anderson usually manipulated him. Anderson couldn't even play but because of his parents this mother crybaby was allowed to be the captain. But I had already a plan. "Fine!",I yelled angrily and ran off. I ran to my one and only Garfunkel. Artie was usually my solution for a lot of problems. The nerd was sitting in the hallway and studied his beloved math. "Hey Artie. I need your help with something." "What have you done again?" "Nothing...Not yet."

"Okay on your knees.",I told Artie while I was standing on a bench. Artie did what I told him. He always did what I told him. And sometimes I didn't even knew why. Am I so dominant or did he just liked my crazy ideas so much? "And now?" "Now I get on your shoulders" "Wait what?!", Art questioned confused but it was too late. I already had swung my legs around his neck so that I set on his soulders. Art struggled a little with standing up. Honestly I was the one of us who was stronger. "I really can't hold you for long like that." "Don't worry. Just till the sport field." As the two arrived at the sport field, Anderson looked really surprise. "So look. I'm tall enough now. We can play." The coach was finally there and laught load. "Oh Mr. Simon. This is a solution only a passionate player would have. That's why I leave you in the team. But better without the Garfunkel. Mr. Garfunkel seem to can't hold you for that long." Arthur nodded and let Paul back down. He was obvoisly really exhausted. Anderson's face filled with anger. "No! But he is not tall enough! We are not going to win with him!" "But Paul can still be in the team. Yeah, we might put him a little aside." "But Sir...",Paul and Anderson exclaimed. "No, Mr. Simon is in the team, but just aside."
Happily I started playing. I smirked at Anderson with an evil grin. That was a point for Simon.

Back home I studied math with Art. Math was just really boring. I just couldn't understand Art liking this. But with Art it actually was a little bit funnier, because he was pretty good in explaining.

On the next morning something felt different. I got out of bed and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. But standing felt different. Well, probably because I had slept bad, I thought and didn't worried about it. But as my little brother just capped staring at me, while I was trying to brush my teeth, I got a little worried. "Hey, Ed. What's wrong? Is something in my face?"
"No, your face is fine, but your height?" "What's wrong with that? Do you want to mock on me as well now?" "Have tried to turn on your clothes?" "No, why should I? You know that I usually brush my teeth firth. "Just try. I think you are going to be surprised." I raised my eyebrows. Why did Eddie needed to be so annoying today. After cleaning my teeth, I wanted to get dressed. But my pants were nearly too small and also my arms where too long for my school shirt. What the hell? Had I grown so much over night? I rushed down to the family bar. There stood the name Paul at 5.3, but as I checkt now it was 5.5 No, way?! 5.5 Wow, that was so tall. That was a dream right? No one could possibly grow that much on one day. My father passed me by with his coffee pot in his hand. He only said:"Ah, Paul. I see puberty has finally hit your size as well." My mom arrived excitedly and already wrote my new height down. She told me how proud she was and gave me lots of annoying kisses. I tried to escape here hug and ran back up. I really needed clothing now. But how was this possible? Puberty? Maybe dad was right about that. It must be puberty. But no one in our family was really that tall. As I was thinking about that, while undressing my shirt again, Ed jumped into my world of thoughts. "That's the magic. That is the magic of the box. Paul, it worked!" Eddie jumped trilled by his happiness around. "I will be excepted in the baseball team." I yelled. "Quit!",our dad yelled from downstairs. "Okay, perfect.", I calmed down. "But why so late? And why haven't I met the Everly Brothers yet." "Have you written down when this all should happen?" "Oh, dam it. I totally forgot that." "Ah, well then it's obvious." "What? How do you know, little brother?" "Because YOU told me so. You didn't write down a date. So it will happen whenever your heart wishes that the most." "Ah, that's cleaver... Of course it's cleaver I said it.", I joked, but I actually felt like saying this and meaning this. My brother just laughed  and went down.
