"Right this way, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Let me show you the ballroom," The uptight sinner in a designer suit gestured down a long hall with white tiles. We had come into La Lune under the guise of an affluent married couple looking for a venue to host our charity event. When asked exactly what we raised money for, I had fought back a smile as I said, "Erectile dysfunction."
To give Striker some credit, he remained straight faced throughout the entire ordeal. Glancing at him as we followed the employee, I could see him taking note of any doors and windows.
Motioning towards an open door on our left, the employee said, "Here is our Grand Ballroom, it can hold up to three hundred people and has a band stage, if that is your preference."
I stepped inside the opulent ballroom, the click of my heels echoing throughout the room. There was three large floor to ceiling windows that looked as though they could open to allow a breeze in. Several doors on the other side looked as though they could be used in a quick escape.
"When would have availabilities open?" I asked, pretending to admire the rather pornographic fresco on the ceiling.
"Let me go get the appointment book and we can check," The employee replied, then added before he slipped back down the hall, "Oh, and by the way. I LOVE your dress, so chic."
