"I've been thinking," Valencia said randomly, one March evening while the two of us were laying in her bed as she read. I was beginning to doze off, my eyes fluttering as I tried to fight off sleep.
"Hm?" I hummed, trying to keep my eyes open.
"Oh I didn't realize you were falling asleep... I'll tell you in the morning." She said as if it wasn't important and kissed my cheek.
I looked up at her as she began twirling the ends of my hair with her finger. "Tell me."
"You can barely keep your eyes open, my love." She smiled, her eyes squinting as she did so.
"That's a lie."
"And your voice is all raspy meaning you're tired." She pointed out.
"I want to know now," I whined, forcing myself to sit up.
"Draco—"
I began to slowly kiss her, making her lay all the way down on her pillow as I hovered over her.
"Are you going to tell me now?" I questioned, watching her look flustered from under me.
"Only if you're going to continue to kiss me like that again."
"I'll kiss you however you want darling."
She threw her arms around my neck lazily, biting on her bottom lip. "Okay, so I was thinking... it's not for sure or anything but... I kinda want to go back to school."
"That's great!" I told her, smiling. Anything she wanted to do, I was there to support her and I meant it.
"You really think so? I doubt I'll be smart enough to graduate though... and what would I even study?"
"You're one hundred percent going to pass, no matter what you choose to study — you have to do something with psychology or sociology, you'd be fucking perfect at it!"
"Idunno about that, Draco." She muttered, her eyes veering off in another direction. "School was more of a thought... I want to spend all my time with you."
I chuckled, "Sometimes you're an idiot, Vi. We have all the time in the world — you should do this!"
"You'll miss me, I hope. Even if I'm only there for a few hours."
"It'll be the worst few hours of my life, no doubt about it but for you... I'll bear with it."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "You're just a dork, I love you."
She pressed her lips to mine before I could even tell her that I love her too.

In May, as the weather began to grow hotter, Valencia was waiting impatiently by her desktop.
I came up and placed my hands on her shoulders, giving them a small squeeze. "You're stressing yourself out, darling. I know for a fact you're getting in."
"You don't know that Draco." She told me as she turned her body to see me better. "I shouldn't have even told my mum that I applied for college... She's been harassing me almost every single day. I know she'll be super upset if I continue to have a low life."
"Lowlife?" I scoffed. She gave me a side-eye and I knew not to dig myself into a grave that I will not be able to get out of. "I get she's your mother and wants the absolute best for you but you can't let her act the way she does with you."
"I know... but I can't lose her... I am just going to deal with it."
"You're too nice."
"So I've been told—"
