CHAPTER #16

DESTINY'S POV

"Xavier , Can I atleast get a hint of why we are here without candy ?" I asked him probably the 11th time since the car ride as we are heading inside the school now. 

" I told you honey ,  We are going to the movies  " He said the same thing again with an amused grin . who goes to the movies in a school ? Ok what are the chances that I will come out of the situation alive if i give  a peace of mind to the other knight as well . I mean I think I survived  shutting Ace the great . I can probably manage Xavier too . 

"uhhgh! fine . Not even gonna ask anymore    " 

"coffee or soft-drink ? "

I gave him my ever confused expression to which he smiled .

"Sweetheart ,I am asking what snack would you like to have during the movie ?"

Is he serious ? before I could even ask something more he continued 

"Oh Its fine . I will get us both something good . Just go and wait in the 2A room for me ." He said while checking something on his phone , maybe the room number only . 

With that he turned towards the canteen and i turned  towards 2A . As soon as I entered the room , I was welcomed by a dreadful silence . The room looked like a meeting room with a  stage at one side and seats on the other . Something like an auditorium where I attend seminars in my college . 

Near the stage I saw the person who had come barging into candy's room  the other evening . He was dressed in black casuals and  was leaning against the dice while looking at his phone screen as if waiting for the meeting to begin .  He might have sensed my gaze on him because he looked up at me suddenly and motioned me to take a seat at the last benches . 

When I turned my gaze towards the  last seat , I saw a bunch of people gathered in the room , some silently whispering among each other with a look of fear permanently etched on their faces . Out of them , sat a  middle aged person on one of the front seats sweating profusely as if he has been tied to a time bomb . 

ok now not only am i getting confused but also scared . What is going to happen here ? Are we really gonna watch a movie ?

Suddenly everyone stood up from their seats as if welcoming someone . The tension in the room was thick enough to be cut by a knife . In came Ace the great , dressed in a business outfit with a permanent scowl etched on his handsome face . Yes ladies and gentlemen , I apologize but I cannot stop praising him . It has become a natural instinct for me by now .   He came and stood near the man near the dice and silently gestured everyone to take their seats with his hands . 

He asked something to that man and suddenly turned his head in my direction on his reply . Our eyes met for a moment and my heart stopped . I am so gonna die . What did I think that he won't say anything to me after my such rude act . His ego is bigger than any if the Shakespeare's novels . He won't spare me . But why in a school . I mean he could have chosen a less public place to insult me . I instantly lowered my eyes . 

Xavier entered the room five  minutes later and with a bag of chips and drinks in his hands . He looked around the room for me and came to take a seat next to me . He passed me one of the drinks and made himself comfortable before opening the snacks . 

"This is gonna be so much fun " He smirked looking at Ace . 

What is going to happen ??????
