I Wish You Were Mine

PROLOGUE

Hi everyone ! My name is DESTINY MILLER.  I am 17  . I live with my parents and a younger  brother . I am completing high school this week and I am planning to move out of my parents house next month as I  am turning 18. I have already been accepted into one of the prestigious universities and I plan on renting an apartment near the university.

Anyway you might have already guessed that I am the nerd type and yes you guys rock. I have always been like that. Very studious and conserved. But  There is one thing that is a bit surprising secret of my life, my crush on a certain someone.  I have been in love with him since 8th grade.

Ace Knight .God ! How shall I define him .A complete Greek God . Every single girl in the school swoon over him .  Including me . They show their affection openly and try to compete every single day for his attention or even to have a conversation with him. Excluding me .cause  I  will never admit my feelings .I know I am too coward but i can't help it . I am afraid of rejection and the humiliation that will come along with it  . Apart from it , i feel unworthy of his love and attention . We literally have no match .He is the most handsome and  richest man alive i  guess and me a nobody.

Everyday i see him in the cafeteria and try to catch glimpse of him talking with his ' elite group 'of freinds  while pretending to look in my book at one corner. I don't know if I even exist for him.

I do not have any friend in particular and am almost invisible which makes it even easy to not be noticed while staring at him . I wish i could just tell him my feelings but that's a wish too good to be true.

Today is the last day of school and I  did not want to miss the chance of looking at my crush .At least you could capture some good memories of his face and live your rest of the life remembering those beautiful green eyes. Call me a creep but believe me i can't help it.

The moment I entered the school I could see a huge crowd in the ground .Usually I do not involve myself in crowds but today's crowd was very big . And there could be only one reason of so many students gathering together - Ace . This has  to do something with ace . Otherwise no one would have  bothered much to stand and stare around.I could also not stop my legs from moving towards the crowd and investigate. As  per my guess  , there stood ace and amelia in the middle of the ground in all their glory .

Amelia is the queen bee of the school and part of ace ' elite circle' . She is a really beautiful girl and is very famous in the school . I was quite confused as to what was happening when the  scene  unfolding in front me  shattered my whole world. Ace dropped on his one  knee and proposed Amelia. She said yes and everyone started shouting . I did not wait further .I could feel a strong ache in my heart and came back home .

I straight away went to my room and locked myself. I cried my eyes out . I was devastated. Though i knew that me and him were impossible and everything has been one sided, hell he even never knew of my feelings yet i felt heartbroken .That night I cried myself to sleep . I  decided to never have too big expectations from life......
