Layla- ( walks in to the Storms house and puts her coat on the hook and stomping her feet before she enters into the living room) sorry im late ( gives them an awkward smile before pulling her chair out and sitting down)

Brent- ( chuckles) what happened did you run all the way here?

Layla- Vhalla got out of the apartment ( huffs but thankfully takes the offered beer from Link) ran two blocks ended up sliding into mud trying to get her collar back on ( grimaces)

Brent- ( snorts) so you showered.

Layla- it wouldn't do for me to show up to Sunday dinner with mud and other things clinging to me stupid.

Lydia- ( snorts chuckling into her glass of wine and sharing an amused look with her husband)

Brent- ( raises an eyebrow at her) stupid? what are you 12

Layla- ( shrugs giving him a smirk) it fits you

Darren- alright you two lets eat ( claps his hands together) an no name calling at dinner Layla

Brent- ( sighs straightening up and begins filling his plate) did she bite you?

Layla- ( notes the softness and she deflates) no.. no she didn't

Brent- ( nods sparing her a glance before beginning to eat)

Layla- ( presses her lips together but tucks into her food as well)

Lydia- so uh ( looking between the two of them) are you two okay?

Layla- yeah

Brent- ( nods ) we're fine.

Lydia- oh ( looks down at her glass ) so you two didn't have a fight or anything.

Layla- ( shakes her head finishing off the last of her plate and wiping her mouth)

Brent- she went on a date..

Lydia- ( raises an eyebrow)

Brent- with her boss.

Layla- ( sighs) it wasn't a date it was dinner and we were discussing our lessons for next year.

Brent- ( hums picking his beer up) what was the place you had dinner at again?

Layla-Grubers..

Brent- nobody goes there for just work purposes Layla. He took you on a date with the illusion of going over next years lesson plans.

Layla- ( narrows her eyes at him) it wasn't a date.

Brent- bullshit ( snaps)

Link- ( sighs putting his fork down)

Layla- why does it matter? I went for work

Brent- and you probably took him home as well.

Layla- ( her eyes darken and she bares her teeth ) excuse me.

Darren- ( clears his throat and shifts uncomfortably in his seat)

Layla- you don't get to call me a whore, when you told me you loved me I was done. I was done with all the boys all the hatred and all the obvious daddy issues. who cared because I was done. You left-

Brent- I had no choice!

Layla- ( flinches a little) you left. im glued back together now and I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke. you don't get to call me a whore Brent.

Brent-( glaring at her)

Layla- ( glaring right back even as her eyes sting)

Brent- ( breaks the eye contact and stands) i'll be in the garage
