LITTLE BRIGHT HEAVEN (5)

Fresh and sweet fragrance greeted Jennie as she opened the door, and immediately she realised it's not a shop...it's a flower heaven! The bright and vibrant colourful blossoms took her breath away as she stood there, gaping at the plants.

- ' Aunty...gooo.'
Jennie came back to her senses as Yeonjun pulled her by hand, dragging her towards the counter of the shop.

Just when they reached the counter, Lisa appeared from under the counter,  making the two visitors shocked .

- ' Whoa! Where were you? '
Lisa laughed at their astonished faces
- ' I was sitting on the ground... labeling my new plants. '
- ' Lisa aunty...choco? '
Yeonjun asked with his cutest face and Lisa bend down to his level
- ' Yes kiddo... I have made some for you. Will chocolate covered cherries and chocolate biscuits do? '
The boy shooted a huge grin and hugged Lisa, who took the boy in her arms and spinned him in air.

Jennie smiled without even knowing. The bond between her nephew and this new florist was full of warmth.

- ' Hey! You wanna try some? '
Lisa asked with a smile that said "please try some"....and Jennie nodded yes.

The florist smiled even broader and went to the left corner of the shop, where a little freezer was there.. which Jennie definitely didn’t noticed because of it's hand painted doors. Now she took a glance of the whole shop and realised that from the racks to the ceiling, everything was hand painted, giving the shop more colours and brightness.

- ' Uh....Lisa? '
- ' Yeah? '
- ' Who painted all this? I mean...this is... quite brilliant! '
Lisa smiled, but this time a bit shy
- ' Well...I..like to paint since childhood. This shop looked dull...so I painted it. '
Jennie's jaw dropped. She was being continuously amazed by the girl.
- ' By holy god! You did it all by yourself?'
Lisa nodded while opening the freezer and Jennie still couldn’t believe the fact.
- ' This is a time consuming process right? '
- ' Yeah..the shop was quite big. So it took me 15 days to get the job done..'
- ' 15 days only and all this were done! You must be kidding me, right? '
- ' Nooo.....Aunty is right. 15 days with colours. She gave a busshh...to paint. '
Jennie understood that Lisa was helped by this tiny human, whom she gave a "brush", but still it seemed like an impossible job. As if reading her mind, Lisa came back to the counter, with a jar in hand
- ' When you enjoy your work, it becomes  an experience...not a burden. And for me, I not only enjoy my work,  I love it. So...everything goes smoothly. '

With that, she took out some chocolates from the big jar to hand it to the eagerly waiting Yeonjun and he smiled joyously.

But everything else faded away for Jennie....except the words of Lisa..

"When you enjoy your work, it becomes  an experience...not a burden."

Did she ever enjoy her work?

Nope.....Jennie never did.

As Jennie met the florist in her own shop, seems like she's having a great life....something Jennie always craved for but never had.

Will she be able to have one such life for herself, too?
