"Well, that's very intriguing. Your hair is changing color."
"What do you mean?" Ruenmi asks. He makes it so it isn't so close, but close enough to see the different colors. "Three different colors are trying to dominate the hair. The blood-red we normally see, the blonde, and a more light red." Amenza realizes something. "Ieyr.." The four look at him.
"Did you just say Ieyr?" Staciap questions. "Yeah, it seems I'm going to have to tame a god." He comments, with no explanation. He walks out of the room, leaving the crowd utterly confused.
Amenza sits in his room, with Pers on a perch. 'Master Amenza, what're you about to do?' Pers questions everything the red headed teen is doing. 'I'm about to mess up a deity.'
Amenza relaxes, and starts meditating, searching his body and mind for the eyes. 'Where are you, Ieyr?' He continues searching. 'Mom and Dad used magic to summon him last time.' Amenza activates his magic, and searches.
Soon, he finds himself at a staircase. 'This must be it.' He thinks to himself. He walks up the stairs, and soon enough, a door appears at the top. He opens it, and sees a blonde man in a robe with large bags under his eyes standing there. "So, you must be Ieyr." He says, as he shuts the door. "You seem to be appearing a lot lately."
The blonde man turns. "And you seem to be here faster than you should be." Ieyr responds in a soft voice with an accent. "What do you mean?" Amenza asks. "You're Denah and Erelani's son, aren't you?" He queries. "From what I've heard from Wolay." The blonde seems very surprised. "You're not sixteen, are you?" The deity asks. "I am, why?"
"Ah, it seems you were actually right on time." Ieyr comes up, and grabs Amenza's head. They touch heads, then Ieyr turns away. "I'll talk to you later, Amenza."
Amenza opens his eyes, and he is in his bedroom, with Pers asleep. 'It's still dark out, so I wasn't out for too long...' He gets up, and walks to the bathroom. He looks in the mirror. He sees that his hair has changed to a not-so-subtle light blonde "Why in the hell am I blonde?" He pulls out a hair, and as soon as he does, the hair turns a light red. "I swear to Aton, Ieyr..."
'Don't get mad at me.' He hears Ieyr's voice in his head. "Why can I hear you all of a sudden?" He asks himself. 'Whenever we bumped heads, I made it so you can start using my power. It just so happens that you and your Roc companion can hear me as well.' Amenza sighs. "What do I do about my hair?" He hears Ieyr crunching. 'Oh, that, I can fix that.'
His hair suddenly becomes the dark red he is used to. "First of all, what are you crunching on? Second of all, why was my hair blonde?" Ieyr clears his throat. 'Well, both of the answers are interesting. First of all, I'm eating your mana cells. That might sound bad, but don't worry, this will make you more powerful. Second of all, the part about being blonde is, as I previously stated, you using my power. Turn blonde, then you get more powerful, but you're more susceptible to attacks.'
Amenza nods. "Is there anything cool you can do?" Ieyr appears in front of him. "I can make you see me, but only in your eyes, and only you can hear me." Amenza slaps himself. "What was that for?" Ieyr asks. "Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy; still not completely sure."
The front door opens, and Lew enters. "What were you doing out?" Amenza questions. "Oh, you're awake again. I was out looking at the stars, you know, the thing you did that one time. Ophelia, the Royal Aristocrats, and the Different Dimension Dudes were all there. How did your 'taming of a deity' go?" Lew asks.
"It went great. At first I turned blonde.." His hair turns blonde, then back to blood red. "Then I went crazy. Sounds like we both had interesting nights." Amenza says, summoning a bottle of whiskey. "Whiskey? Seems a little extreme." Lew comments. "I suppose. What did you and the others talk about?"
"Honestly? Mostly you." Amenza just finished pouring the whiskey into a glass, then he pours more in. "Like what?" Lew sits down in a chair. "Ophelia talked about how dreamy you are, Beau talked about how fricking scary you are, and the rest of the Different Dimension Dudes talked about how strong you are. Then, the Royal Aristocrats talked about your hair, and the taming of the deity. You know, before I left, I checked up on you? You were sitting on your bed, and your eyes were glowing white."
"Hmm, that's interesting." He says, sipping the whiskey. "Did you feel me exerting any magical energy?" He just looks at him. "Whenever your eyes started glowing, you let out a giant burst of energy. I almost went deaf." The redhead nods. He finishes his whiskey. "Alright, I'm going to go pass out." Amenza enters his room. "I should brush up on the deities.."
In the morning, Amenza wakes up to Pers in his face. 'Good morning, Master Amenza.' The redhead gets up, and goes to the bathroom. "Am I just going to wake up blonde from now on..?" Ieyr appears, and nods. "Ugh." He brushes his teeth, takes a shower, then gets dressed. Lew is just exiting his room, when Amenza is about to leave. "Why are you already dressed?" Lew asks, groggily. "I have stuff to do." Amenza explains, as he walks out.
Amenza enters the library, and goes up to the librarian. "Excuse me, where are the books on the deities?" She takes him to a section. "The books on Iag, Uonius, and Aais are all taken." She walks back to the counter. He looks, and there are multiple books on Aton, and only one on Ieyr. "That really sucks." He says, as he walks to the counter. "Are there any other books on Ieyr?" She looks in the back, then walks out. "No, it doesn't seem so." Amenza sighs. "I'll just take this one."
Amenza sits in the courtyard, reading the book. "All I'm getting is information that Cheruson already told me." He checks, and the last time it was checked out was ten years ago. 'You do know you can ask me, right?' Ieyr suggests. "I'm pretending you don't exist."
He finishes the book, when Pers flies up to him. 'Princess Ophelia is coming our way.' Amenza puts the book in his bag. The makeup the princess is wearing was expertly done. "Really, makeup?" He questions. "Yeah, makeup. I've been hit on ten times today." Amenza gives her a look that says he doesn't seem convinced.
"So, Collin told us about your hair." She brings up. "Oh, it was Collin?" She nods. "Remind me to kill him later." She giggles. "He also told me you can manually make it blonde when I saw him a few minutes ago." His hair briefly turns blonde, before changing back. "That's actually cool." Waywrighth comes up to them. "Ah, Amenza! I need to speak with you in my office." He nods and gets up to follow. "I'll talk to you later, OK?"
They walk into the office. "Amenza, I've informed your teachers of your schedule change. Here it is." Almost all of them are moved, except for eighth hour. "Alright, thank you. Wait, what's Companion Mastery?" He asks. "You and I both know you don't need Potions 101. This is an excuse for you to keep Pers on school premises." The bird flies through the window, and breaks it.
"I don't think any ordinary sparrow can do that." She comments. "Well, I have recently learned he isn't a sparrow. I can show you what he is if you can take us to a secure place." She shrugs, and they teleport to the plains in the middle of nowhere. Pers flies up. "Reveal your true form."
The bird glows, then transforms into a Roc. It is about 5 meters tall. "Y-y-your companion is a-a..." It spreads it's wings. "YOUR COMPANION IS A ROC?!" She exclaims. "I thought you'd be taller." Amenza tells him. "Master Amenza, in my true form, I can speak your language. I am only a month old. I will be much taller when I am an adult."
Waywrighth is astounded. Pers turns back into a sparrow, then they go back to the school.
Classes are boring, so soon enough, lunch comes.
