** FLASHBACK**
Me and my dad sat and had our normal Sunday dinner at his favorite restaurant. We laughed and ate and drunk. These days were special to the both of us. He was always gone or always outta town, I was busy dancing, this was the only time we had together. "Baby girl, you know I love you right?" As I finished taking a sip of my drink I told him, "Yeah I do old man. You know I love you too. Why you asked?" Eddie took his phone out and sent a text. "Just making sure. Listen, I want you to understand something, nobody is ever gone show you their true intentions. No matter how good the intentions may seem, trust me it's not what it seems to be". I took another sip, looking lost, "Okay.... why you telling me this?" Eddie looked her in her eyes, "Baby girl understand me, at some point you not gone know where to turn or who to turn to. I want you to remember something, always stay one step ahead. Never be a pawn, always come out a queen. Remember that always, promise me". I didn't know what all this meant but just so he would hush so I could ask him to buy me these Red Bottoms for me to wear to the club I answered, "You got my word". A text came through to Eddie, "Meet in 15. Drop in 45". He called for the check, "Listen I gotta go handle some business, you gone be okay?" Here was my chance, "No dad, I don't have any heels for tonight, Im probably gon stay home tonight, man imma be missing out on so much money", I sighed. Eddie clapped, "Wow , you're getting better and better with trying to persuade me. Best one yet". "Thanks I try", as they both laughed. He paid the bill and left me his credit card and left.
The driver pulled up to a house. Luke walked outside and got in the truck. "Wassup OG, you ready?" "Yeah, are you?" "Hell yeah, let's get it". "Now listen you know i'm a business man, you sure the numbers right?" "Man OG, everything legit, let's go". Eddie studied him, "Why you in such a hurry? I don't even know this new guy, everything check out with him?" "He good, we good, everything good. Now can we be on our way?" Eddie instructed the driver to pull off.
They got to the spot. Luke hopped out to introduce the two men. They shook hands. "It's the purest Luke told me. Is it?", Eddie asked. "Try for yourself", the guy took a bag of cocaine out and handed it to him. Eddie passed it to the driver. The driver tried some and nodded. "Okay then. All 40 keys there?" The guy threw the bags in front of Eddie. "Got the money?" The driver went and got the money out the trunk of the car. He in return threw the cash. The two men again shook hands and got ready to leave. The doors of the place flew open, "POLICE, NOBODY MOVE!" The guy and his boys pulled out guns and opened fire. Eddie, the driver, and Luke his behind some boxes. "I thought you said he checked out?! What the fxck you got us in nxgga?! "I thought he was, hell this is a surprise to me too!" "See what you get for thinking?! I can't go down, here take this, you won't get that big of a charge. I'll be there to get you", Eddie said as he handed him a small bit of coke. He and the driver snuck out and drove off.
"I can't believe that idiot. Tryna set me up. I shoulda known. I got something for that nxgga". He took his phone out and called his assistant. "Yeah, have my number changed in the morning please". He hung up. "Yeah, sit there nxgga".
A few weeks went by. Luke tried and tried to get in touch with Eddie but there was no luck each time. In his cell one night he realized what Eddie had really done. The next day, he called his right hand and told him come visit. He explained what had went down. "I want him handled, no mess at all. Let one of the lil nxggas do it". The guy nodded and left. Later on that day, the guy picked up 3 of the small workers, Stank being one of them. They guy explained the situation and gave them the orders. "If you need an extra hand, take that one with you", pointing at Stank.
Stank began to get dressed. "Baby why you leaving, I thought this was our night", Passion asked. "I got some orders today. Gotta help a few guys take out somebody. Some lawyer Eddie or something like that. This a clean one. I won't be gone too long", he answered as he kissed her forehead. "Wait lawyer? Eddie? You talking bout Cinnamon's dad?" "Shxt I guess. Luke just want him dead. That's all I know". Passion's mouth just hung open, "What the fxck!!!"
The other two guys came and picked Stank up. They had eyes on Eddie and knew he was getting ready to leave his office. They got behind him and started taunting him. They ran him off the road and he crashed. They got out to make sure he was dead. One guy took out his phone, "Tell Luke it's done".
