chapter 6: koala bears and transformations

warning: this chapter is full of lukanette, but i promise, it is only temporary

"Oh, Luka? Why are you here?" Marinette asked. 

"Koakii lead me here," I explained.

"Koakii?" She had a confused expression on her face. 

"Oh, right, my kwami haha, Koakii, you can come out now!" I laughed, as a small floating koala came out of my bracelet. 

Marinette's bracelet started glowing and an identical kwami came out. 

"Koakii, Sister!" My kwami said confidently.

"Koakii! My brother!!" Marinette's kwami exclaimed excitedly. 

"So, we-we are soulmates huh?" Marinette questioned. 

"Huh? Oh yeah!" I tried to hide my blush but I figured she could see it, not that it mattered. She was perfect, and if we were soulmates, I'm sure she felt the same way. 

M.P.O.V.

I tried to hide the dejected look on my face. Me and Adrien weren't soulmates. I mean, Luka is a great guy and all, but Adrien, cmon, does the world hate me, or is chloe the matchmaker?

I mustered out a small "So, we-we are soulmates huh?" I internally facepalmed. I was stuttering? Come ON now he would really think I liked him. And was that a blush on his face? Oh great. 

"Yeah, we should probably transform," He said, in that monotone, asmr, soothing voice he uses. I guess I'd have to get used to it. 

"To transform, just say the phrase, Koakii, Fluff Up! While holding your bracelets together in sync!" Both of our kwamis exclaimed in perfect unison.

"Oh okay," I said, covering up the sadness. "On three, 1... 2... 3...,"

"Koakii, Fluff up!"

Transforming was magical, it made me forget I wasn't with Adrien, the few seconds felt too quick. I opened my eyes for just a moment and saw beautiful shades of grey with a few splatters of pink and blue, but just a little. When we finished, I tapped my bracelet to pull out the camera app ( a/n its like the miraculous hehe ) and I took a look at myself. 

My hair was pulled into two space buns on the top of my head, with very light pink ribbons securing them. There were small koala ears on top of my head, and silver glitters lining my buns. My outfit consisted of a long sleeved light grey top with gloves attached, some small jewels scattered throughout. There was a white koala patch on my stomach, and grey pants with small white high heeled boots about 2 inches high, and I had a small koala tail, as well as my matching grey and white mask and earrings. Just when I was done looking at myself, I turned my head up and saw Luka checking out his outfit too. 

"Wow," I let out a small gasp. 

His hair was the same as always, but he has his koala ears and a super cute tail. He had a grey suit like mine, but more boy-like. His boots were build in, and he had different shades of greys scattered throughout his costume. He looked. . . stunning <3 <3

"Marinette!" His sharp voice broke me out of my daydream. 

"Yes?"
