Siddharth was sulking in his room, dressed in a red and cream royal sherwani. He was supposed to get married today. This was supposed to be the happiest day in his life and there he was, sitting in his room, dressed up, surrounded by the absolute jerks that his friends were, teasing him about his impending marriage even if he so much as twitched his neck in the general direction of his bedside table, where his phone rested, which FYI was pinging like mad, (if that makes any sense) for the last three hours.

He missed his little star and he was almost 95% sure that he had at least 15 unread messages from her and she had sent him photos of her wedding look in every angle imaginable because apparently, the girls weren't just as mean as the boys and understood her eagerness for her special day.

They hadn't seen each other for the better part of the last twenty four hours as they had strictly been told that they couldn't meet once the Haldi had been applied to both the bride and the groom.

They were both understandably frustrated, especially Siddharth who had no idea HOW THE HELL TO FUNCTION without talking to her and seeing her and having her smile and blush and do a thousand other things that he didn't even know he did with her.

I mean.. He even missed the sound of her voice and the exact shade of honey that her eyes were and it had just been a day! He knew that it was crazy but.. damn he loved her and she was the most important part of his existence and that is that!

His sister entered the room, leading him out for some last minute rituals. He sighed, finally his scowl softened into a smile as he saw his sisters in the room.

"Khushi dekho ladke ke chehre pe." Kushal teased him. Siddharth glared at him.

"Teri shaadi aane de beta, aisi band baaja baaraat banaunga tu yaad rakhega!" Siddharth said, shooting him a fleeting look before exiting the room.

Elsewhere, Shehnaaz was sitting in front of a full sized mirror as three women worked on different aspects of her wedding look, giving her the last few final touches. She wore a blood red Lehenga, her jewellery and makeup made her look heavenly gorgeous, the eager ecstasy in her eyes, her cheeks painted naturally in tinges of deep red made her support an effortless glow. Maahi and Preeti Di sat in the room, dressed up and ready.

The girls were dressed in beautiful silk sarees/gowns of different colors while the boys sported Sherwaanis or Tuxedos, depending on what their partners or (in some cases) sisters were wearing.

A few hours later, Siddharth sat on the throne chairs in the centre stage, waiting for his little star. His eyes flitting occasionally to the stairway leading to her room, impatience shining in his dark brown eyes. His father stood by his side, smiling and greeting the guests that came to congratulate the groom.

"Dad.."

His father looked at him, smiled "Aa jaati hai abhi. Dulhan hai, itna toh banta hai na?"

Siddharth pouted, just as the hall was filled with the tunes of "Din Shagna Da" and Shehnaaz was led downstairs accompanied by hers and Sid's friends.

"Saale dal-badlu." Siddharth rolled his eyes, although he couldn't quite manage to tear his gaze away from Shehnaaz who looked like a princess in the red wedding attire. He stood up from his place and walked towards the foot of the staircase, Shehnaaz blushed while the rest of the group whooped and hooted as Siddharth went on his knee, offering his hand to his bride.

The song changed, "Mere Haath Mein.. Tera haath ho" played in a soft, soothing volume across the room as Siddharth led his princess to the stage like a delicate doll and made her sit next to him.
