It had been two months since SidNaaz had had a new start in their relationship. They had practically been living next door to each other, for more than eighteen months at this point but for the last two months, their relationship had changed for the better.

They had both made efforts to grow closer and closer to each other with every passing day, grown from friendly acquaintances to good friends in a short period of time. For various different reasons, Siddharth and Shehnaaz could never interact with each other, the way they would have liked in the initial stages of their relationship, for Siddharth was too awkward to approach her and Shehnaaz was too shy.

The last two months had given the two of them a much needed freedom to explore their relationship without any awkwardness or fear of rejection that overtook them earlier whenever one of them thought of taking a step in the direction of the other.

They talked for hours, on texts, calls, even non-verbal gestures. Siddharth had always been fiercely protective of his personal life and tried actively to guard himself from the world, but with Shehnaaz he was a carefree child, smiling and laughing, holding nothing back.

Shehnaaz, although relatively more relaxed, was also private in her own way but like him, became a little child when around him. Their daily morning tradition now involved a good morning wish and a drive to their workplace together.

Shehnaaz was still not aware of the true identity of her smile mate and although Siddharth felt bad about lying to her, he couldn't risk her behavior towards him changing just because of the person the rest of the world knew him as.

He was her Siddharth, just Siddharth and nothing could take that away from him.

It was Saturday, Shehnaaz was sitting in her cubicle, wearing a white off shoulder top and peach skirt, a nude shade of lipstick on her lips and eyes painted thick with eyeliner, working on her laptop, her eyes trained on the screen of the computer.

It was a rather lazy day, with half the people already relieved of their work for the day and the office hours were still far from over

It was a rather lazy day, with half the people already relieved of their work for the day and the office hours were still far from over.

There was constant chatter in the office, colleagues were talking to each other and as was obvious, Shehnaaz was getting irritated with the chaos of the office and had a pout on her lips as she tried hard to concentrate on her work and get it done with Siddharth was sitting in his cabin, watching her from time to time.

He was smiling, a surge of pure and unadulterated affection surging through him every time he saw that adorable pout on her lips, making her irritation crystal clear to him. He took his phone, deciding to find the reason for her foul mood. His eyes were still fixed on her as he entered her number in his keypad, even though he had her number memorised, entering it manually made it a little more special for him in its own twisted way.

He heard the caller tune going off and Shehnaaz's eyes darting towards her mobile as soon as it started to vibrate. Siddharth smirked to himself when he saw her face flooding in relief as she read the Caller-ID on the screen.
