Jonas.

The ship had gone down eight or nine day's back, I had only survived due to Captain Martin shoving me in to the small wooden life boat as he held what crew was left on board back, at the age of eighteen, I was the youngest on board and the crew had not been the nicest to me, my almost feminine features some time's being compared to the beauty of a woman by many of the crew as their eye's followed my movement's as I did my chores, Jax, one of the most wrenched men I had ever had the displeasure of ever knowing would often take thing's too far, often groping and pining my small body with his, if it was not for the captain I have no doubt Jax would have followed through with many of the thing's he had so shamelessly whispered in to my ear's.

I'm not sure how the ship had come to sink, I had been below deck's helping in the kitchen peeling potatoes for the ships cook Mr Malcom, he was the only other person on board that treated me with some respect as well as Mr Martin the captain, all I can remember is one moment I'm there peeling potatoes and the next the captain's dragging me by my arm as water pored in to the ship all about me, it had been about nine at night, shouting and hollering coming from everywhere, bright orange flame's ingulfed the sails and licked at the masts, I had no time to take anything else in before I was picked up and slung in to the small wooden boat along with a small sack of supply's, only looking up to see Captain Martin pull his pistol from it's harness and point at the remaining men on board. " Come on captain, there's plenty of room in that there boat for at least another three or four men?! " I catch a glimpse of the man who had spoken out, my eye's land on the harsh twisted face of Jax. " There is no way in hell ANY of you are getting in that boat with the boy! "With that the captain shot at the feet of the men making them jump and scatter, turning to me he smile's and pushes the boat away from the sinking ship. " Jonas, you grab them oars, and you row as hard as you can and get as far from this ship as you can boy, don't let anyone else on there with you, you here me , not anyone, OK", I begin rowing from the ship, the red and orange flames lighting up the sky as embers fly wildly about me, I looked back to were the captain had been standing but he was no longer stood there, I closed my eye's as I rowed as hard as I could from the ship, not stopping until I watched as the ship sunk beneath the water, hissing as the sea extinguished the flame's leaving the dark night to ingulfed me.

The next few day's were hard, I had no food left and but a few drops of water that I was using to just moisten my dry flaky lips, glancing around at the dark blue ocean that surrounded me, I'm sure I see the shadow of land in the distance, clasping the side of my boat I pull my self up and try to focus, making out mountains, a small white sand beach that disappeared in to a rich green jungle.

With the little strength I had left, I grabbed the ore's and began to row with all I had left in me, before long the surf of the beach pulled my small boat to rest on the beach, climbing out I took a few unsteady steps before collapsing on to the warm sand.

I don't know how long I was out but the sun was low in the sky giving a beautiful warm orange glow to everything around me, deciding to sit and watch the sun set, there would soon be no light and so I would wait till sunrise to explore, looking up and down the beach, it was cut off by the jungle behind me, eventually the only light was from the full moon that now turned everything a silvery blue, even at night this place was beautiful, standing, I turned to make my way back to my small boat, I had decided to sleep in the boat not wanting the small bugs in the sand to feast on my flesh, I had only taken a few steps when the water to my left erupted in to a furious explosion of turning water and white spray, falling back on to the sand I look on in terror as a great white shark land's on the sand almost at my feet, long deep gashes all up and down it's body, but it was the half hanging torn bottom jaw that I couldn't pull my gaze from, its rows of sharp serrated teeth almost glowing in the moon light, the growing stain of crimson as it bled out on to the once pristine white sand, that was until I see movement on top of the now dead creature.
