callie turned the corner where adam and al were stood as al walked off from adam, erin, and jay walking behind her. adam held his arms out as he called after the retreating figure of al. "no offense, though. i don't want you anywhere near her."

"does that mean you set a date?" erin questioned the new member to the intelligence unit.

adam nods. "ah, today's the twenty first, so six months today."

"oh, man, today's the twenty first?" jay questioned.

callie's eyebrows furrowed as she glanced back at her partner as they entered intelligence. "yeah, it usually follows the twentieth. what's up?"

"nothing." jay shrugged it off.

voight turned from the whiteboard as the four joined them, callie accepting the mug of coffee dean held out to her with a nod of her head. "all right, there are two unrelated wire investigations. surveillance followed three of area central's top ranking gang targets to this house on carpenter. narcotics hasn't gotten anywhere with it, so command staff wants intelligence on it. roll out in five."

"we got the main eye." al informed them over the radio as he and adam were dressed in hivis jackets to blend in with the construction workers.

"we're set up to the north." antonio's voice followed as he, erin, dean, and voight all sat in voight's car.

callie looked through the camera she held and took a couple of photos as jay replied through his radio. "10-4. we got the south and a partial of the alley."

"if anyone goes mobile from the house, we're in position for a take away." antonio informed.

"o and ruzek, move closer." voight ordered. "see if there's any movement in the house."

al and adam shared a quick look before moving closer to the house. "10-4."

callie took another photo before her eyes landed on a man wearing a bright yellow jacket walking onto the scene. she brought her radio up to her lips. "hold up. we got company."

"who's this joker?" antonio questioned as they watched the man walk up the porch steps and knock on the door.

jay looked into the binoculars and saw the man was holding a gun in his hands. "gun!" he exclaimed just as gunfire was heard.

everyone quickly grabbed out their weapons and moved in closer to the house, adam kicking the door open and shooting the man who went to take a shot at him. al moved past him to check in one of the rooms. "clear!"

"police!" erin shouted as she entered the house, dean behind her.

voight was last to enter the house. "hoodie's dead." he motioned towards the guy that was lying on the front porch.
