The Halloween Prank

Summer

        Pain exploded inside my head like it was getting split open by an ice pick. I couldn't see where I was running, everything was a blur of color and sound. Even after the back door slammed, I was quickly grabbing supplies; three flashlights, extra batteries, bottled waters, blankets, and non perishable food items. We will need these, I thought.

A flash of glitter caught my eye, Gold was heading upstairs. I followed her, trusting my instincts, and my sight.

"Quickly, come on hurry Chaos won't be able to hold it much longer!"

CRASH, BOOM. things fell over, from either being touched or ran into. Spring and Autumn took a head count, I gazed into Gold's Prehnite eyes, Chaos was still out there, holding back or running?

"Is everyone okay? Hello? Is anyone there?" a familiar voice called out.

Galaxy's Titanite glinted, shining brightly. I ran downstairs and, pulling Chaos along, grinned in hope. In my reflection of an old mirror, my face had gotten all scraped from chunks of ice, was this really how I looked?

"Chaos," I wheezed, barely able to breath. "How in the world did you do that?"

As she shrugged, I grabbed the first aid kit from the arm load of supplies. Chaos was fine and helped patch everyone up. Looking at each other, all exhausted, Nova tried to lighten the mood by cracking jokes from Gabriel Iglesias in the movie Fluffy.

Galaxy, Winter, Spring, and Autumn started laughing like hyenas on a sunny day.
