The Halloween Prank

Chaos

            "Who would do such a thing to us?" Summer asked.

"No one else gets pranks as bad as this!" exclaimed Gold. "This is really crossing the line!"

Flourished with a new anger Gold grabs a bucket and fills it with warm sudsy water, starting to scrub the egg off of the star-spangled porch.

"I'll go to the store and buy new tools, soap, and more paint so we can repaint the spots that the paint came off." said Galaxy.

Once everything got cleaned, repaired, and repainted was still early. None of us could find out who did it, but I had my suspicions, the two brothers, sons of Ares, Deimos also called Dread, and Phobos also called Fear, the same two jerks that always bullied Void, around noon the two boys showed up.

"Where is Chaos? We want to talk to her, in private." said Fear.

"She's around here somewhere. Yo, Galaxy, go see if Chaos is in the backyard!" hollered Nova.

Two minutes later I came in, when I saw Deimos and Phobos my eyes became wide in shock and terror. Galaxy knew that I was going to try to escape, but quickly took hold of both of my tense arms, forcing me to stay in one place.

" We might know who pulled this prank on you guys," Phobos started.

"But our source told us to only tell you in private." Deimos finished glaring angrily at Galaxy and Nova.

As soon as Galaxy and Nova left the room and heard the door click shut behind them. Phobos and Deimos were not looking at me, instead they were nervously looking around the room.

"So, who did it?" I asked, "I don't have forever you know."

"Chaos, the person that did it was....." Phobos said, finishing in a whisper.

I was too shocked to say anything, there was too much surprise in the air. My grandfather, Cronos, had destroyed the home that took me years to pay the rent on. My house, my home, where my friends would not be harmed. I definitely needed to have a talk with Apollo, he kept holding important details, trying to keep his "special" little girl safe.

"O-oK, thank you for telling me." I finally stuttered.

"Remember, do not tell your friends." the boys said in unison, "Knowledge can be dangerous, or that's what Athena tells us."

I nodded, too stunned to say anything, I just needed to have some alone time to take this all in. Is this, right now, really me? Or am I trying to hide from reality? What powers do I have, if at all, any?

"Ok, you guys need to leave, please, just go. I need to take this all in."
