A Yell to Hear and a Path to Follow

It had stopped raining when the three had left the Inn. The prince had gotten his payback on his two holders by walking out of the room and returning the key to the Key lady. He'd told her that two stragglers had sunk in his room and was knocked out in there.

The prince then left, his cloak and pouch with him, and it wasn't long until the two stragglers caught up.

One yelled "You are our prisoner you can't just walk away from us!" Ranboo could only assume it was the bird. How did these two got the bright idea to get him as prisoner, Ranboo would never know. They were so dumb. They should've kept one of them awake so him just walking out wasn't a possibility.

The bird walks to his right with the bee to his left. "Hey shittyface where are we going now?" Ranboo wondered if he really should bring this bird into the presence of other royalty.

"To the Phantom kingdom." His holders seemed to be frozen in place as Ranboo kept his walking. "Phantom kingdom!?" The two said as if sharing a voice.

Tommy was the first to break his frozen body as he ran to catch up with Ranboo. "The kingdom of phantoms??? There is actually a phantom kingdom?" Tommys voice stretched out the two words 'phantom kingdom' disbelief and confusion found in his attitude.

Ranboo was surprised when he heard the voice of the bee next to him having not heard his footsteps. The bee boy was flying next to the tall Ranboo. " I didn't think Phantoms were real." Tommy verbally agreed with his friend.

"Phantoms are real and the phantom kingdom also bears an angel. The king is a fallen angel who was sent back to earth with the duty of watching over the souls that were still trapped here." Tommy seemed awed as he walked next to Ranboo.

Ranboo wondered if he preferred walking over flying. "Well shit. If we're going to see an angel, an actual angel, we should get some new clothes." Ranboo gave the bird child a look that made Tommy puff his chest and wings out. "I can look nice and still keep you prisoner!" Ranboo had to keep himself from grinning but he let himself roll his eyes.

They walked for a while longer in silence before Tommy broke it with saying, "I smell-" and then a scream.

Someone was screaming for help. Tommy broke off in a run leaving Ranboo and Tubbo to follow. The screaming had seemed to stop and when Ranboo and Tubbo had finally caught up with the bird child they found him staring at a path of fire.

"W-What the hell!?" The path was little patches of fire here and there but the fire didn't seem to spread staying in it's spot as if an obedient dog waiting for its owner go tell what to do next. Ranboo got a bad feeling.

"Lets head back to the main path. We can't help the person, they're probably fried anyways." Ranboo said turning around.

"We can at least try." Tommy sounded determined and that seemed to catch Ranboo off gaurd. This kid keeps surprising him. "We tried, they disappeared before we could get to them and they stopped screaming. They are probably dead and we need to leave before whatever killed them comes to kill us."

Tommy ran following the fire patches. "Tommy!" Tubbo yelled running after his friend, " You forgot your weapon! Me!"

Ranboo sighed. And you both forgot me, your prisoner. Ranboo walked following where the two had gone, keeping his tail up as to not let it get burned.

As he walked he couldn't help but notice that his instincts were telling him, you shouldn't be here, you should get out of here, out of this forest. And the feeling didn't help when he heard a scream, the scream of a young child, the scream of a determined young bird child. Tommy had screamed.

Ranboo was so busy running he hadn't noticed that the earth was at its edge. Ranboo was pulled back before going off a cliff. Ranboo fell on the ground behind him.

"I don't need you down there too," Tubbo said. Ranboo moved and looked down the cliff. Down it on a ledge Tommy was laid down not moving. Ranboo looked at the bee boy, "Is he alive?"

Tubbo held up a finger saying one second before flying down to the ledge Tommy laid. Tubbo landed next to him and gently turned him over. The world seemed to stop as if the whole world was fearing the young soul dying so young. Every sound stopped as Tubbo checked Tommy. He didn't move, listening, checking for heart beats.

Tubbo gave a breath of relief looking up and yelling, "He's alive!" Ranboo let out a breath but at the same time he felt that the death of this child didn't matter. Not to him, if Tommy did die he wouldn't have been sad. He'd just met this child and he would have died doing something that Ranboo said was a bad idea. But...at the same time Ranboo couldn't help but feel slightly relieved.

Tubbo grabs Tommy and put his arm around him. Tubbo started to fly up and in Ranboo's opinion he seemed to be struggling.

Ranboo got the feeling again. The feeling that something bad was going to happen. Ranboo heard something and looked back over the edge of the cliff.

Tubbo was half way up but was now pressing Tommy against the cliff wall. Ranboo seemed to find himself waiting for Tommy to say something smart but he never did. Ranboo offered a hand after Tubbo got to where he could reach him. Tubbo took it, flew over, and landed on the land Tommy next to him.

Tubbo stopped flapping his wings and though they didn't really move Tubbo looked like he was stretching them. Ranboo got up and looked around the fire patches had gone out. Tubbo grabbed some bandages from Tommy's pockets and started to put it on him.

Tommy's hands where bruised and had some sharp rocks still in them but the real damage was one of his knees. His pants were stained with blood where the damaged knee was.

Ranboo looked around one more time. The feeling of something bad had left. It couldn't have just been deja ve since he didn't think Tommy would be hurt and the fire patches were gone. The fire patches were gone and so was the dreading feeling of danger.

Whatever made the fire was dangerous and whatever it was was leaving them for now but Ranboo also got the feeling that he and whatever made the fire would meet again.
