(Captain's pov)
Thus far, being the captain of the octonauts has been wonderful "how are you this morning cap?" Tweak asked, as I entered the kitchen. "Very well, yourself?" I replied, taking a seat next to her. Before she could answer, a sound filled the room. The sound of a certain sea otter bumbling his way through the octo-shoot, landing on the floor upon popping out "Shellington, are you alright?" I questioned, stifling a laugh. "Yes captain, still learning how to balance myself in there" the scottsman chuckled, as I helped him to his feet. "I'll have to teach ya" Tweak smiled. "I'd appreciate it" Shellington responded, taking a seat on the opposite side of the table. Dashi and Inkling joined soon after, "lovely morning isn't it everyone?" The professor started, after taking a sip from his mug. "Indeed" I agreed. "Does you're family travel like you do captain?" Dashi asked, attempting to make small talk. Which I'm not a big fan of, I'd rather be more direct. I felt Tweak place her paw on my leg at the mention of family. "Not really, Bianca, my twin sister. Works as an atmospheric researcher" I explained. "Oh, I have a twin sister. Her name is pearl" Shellington piped out happily. "I don't have a twin but I have a little sister named Koshi" Dashi added. "Do you have any siblings Tweak?" Inkling asked. "Nope, it's just me and my dad" Tweak explained, as I put an arm around her shoulders. She doesn't really like to talk about her family either

"But.." Tweak added. "I do have you cap" she smiled, hugging me out of the blue. Sometimes found family is the best way to cope. "You're more of a brother than a friend" Tweak explained, her southern accent thickening. Reminding me of the time we met, I'd just been promoted and appointed a crew to oversee, Tweak caught my eye from the start. not in a romantic way, but something about her intrigued me. I continued to keep an eye on her and offered to help when I found her working on blueprints, she told me of her upbringing and I told her of mine. We grew close and the rest is history. "What about you professor?" Dashi asked, breaking me away from my thoughts. "Oh, I'm afraid we'd be here for hours as my family is quite..large" Inkling responded. I wonder what stories will come with new crew members
