Kellin’s POV
“Good morning boys!” I squinted my eyes open and wiped some drool off my check. I looked to the middle of the room and saw Ryan standing there as happy as ever. I looked over to Vic to see he was already looking at me. I smiled at him and he smiled back, which made me blush of course.

“Vic, your mother will be here at 11:30 to pick you and Kellin up for your day out.”

“Really?!” Vic practically yelled springing out of bed. I chuckled at the sight of him in his boxers.

“Yes.” Ryan answered with a smile “You guys get ready!”

“Okay.” Vic and I said in almost perfect sync. When Ryan left I looked over at Vic.

“Today is the day, huh.”

“Yup Kell’s, you excited?”

“Yeah but I’m still nervous.”

“There’s nothing to be to be worried about. My family is going to love you!”

I sighed and got out of bed to get ready and Vic did the same. I dug through my drawers and found a black pair of skinny jeans with a gray V-neck. I put on my clothes and ran into the restroom. I looked in the mirror, ran my fingers through my hair and brushed my teeth. I looked in the mirror again and wiped my face with a wet cloth, I looked decent enough. I went back over to my bed put on my vans and black beanie. I stood up and realized Vic was looking at me with a huge smile.

“What?” I asked with a grin

“Oh nothing you just look extremely cute.”

Of course I could feel my face getting warm and I knew I was blushing.

“Thanks.’’ I smiled “Want to go get breakfast?”

“Sure, my little Kelly bear!”

“Stahp!” I said with a smile and lightly pushed him. He gasped and looked at me with an offended face.
I laughed and made my way to the door and Vic followed behind me. We started walking down to the cafeteria.

I was staring down at my oatmeal and plain toast when Vic started talking.

“So Kell’s what do you want to do at my house?”

I shrugged my shoulders and thought about it for a minute.

“I dunno can we just hang out or something, I just really want to spend time with you. Is that ok?”

He smiled at me, which made my face warm and once again I was blushing. I looked away to hide my blush.

“Sounds perfect, but Kell’s don’t hide your blush from me. I love it when you blush you look so adorable.”

I looked back at him “Okay, I won’t hide it anymore.”

“Good!” He blew a kiss at me and winked. I put my hand up pretending to grab it and slapped it on my check and we laughed at the same time.
Vic pulled apart his toast and put it into his mouth.

“You know they should at least put butter on this toast.” He said with a stern attitude.

“I’m mean really, the food here is just so bland!” I said laughing out loud.

For the rest of breakfast we continued our rant about how bland and gross the cafeteria food was. And Vic wasn’t wrong about anything. I love the way he is so confident about it, the way he’s so confident about everything he’s saying is just perfect. He didn’t care what people thought about it, or him. Sometimes I wish I could be that confident. I wish I could make a statement and be 100% about it and not care what other people thought about it.

“Are you ready to go back to the room baby?”

I looked up from my bowl of what used to be oatmeal and looked at Vic. He was smiling and his eyebrows were raised as he was waiting for me to answer.

“Yeah, let’s go ahead and go back to the room.” I answered smiling back at him. We got up and dumped our trays in the trashcan and left the cafeteria. I started to feel Vic hand interlacing with mine. I knew I was blushing and I was about to turn my head away but I remember what Vic said about that so I didn’t, I just smiled and laid my head on his shoulder and we walked back to the room like that.
~~~
“Vic your mothers here.” Ryan said barging into the room. I was kind of relieved that Vic and I were only talking about plants (Yes ik strange but flowers came up and that’s how it started) and not doing anything ‘crazy’, because...well that would have been awkward. Vic once again jumped out of his bed like a kangaroo.
“Really?!” He asked/exclaimed in a semi high pitched voice. It is always really adorable when Vic gets excited, I swear he acts like a little kid in a candy shop. Like last week when he found out we get cookies every Friday after dinner, he nearly wet his pants it was so funny and cute.
“Yes Vic really, your mother is here!” Ryan said in a sarcastic mocking tone. “We have to go to the front office come on boys.”
“Alright.” I responded to Ryan. I jumped off the bed and looked at Vic who was already smiling really widely at me. I smiled back at him, Ryan headed towards the door so Vic and I followed after him.
Honestly, I’m really nervous, seriously what if Vic’s parents don’t like me or they think I made Vic gay or something. What if they don’t let Vic and I be together I can’t have the best thing that’s ever happened to me be ripped away like that. I could feel my face getting hot with tears. Vic looked over at me and mouthed ‘are you okay?’ I smiled and nodded my head. He bit his lip and smiled back me. It felt kind of good that I wasn’t exactly lying about being okay, I mean I was just nervous and freaked out.
It felt like my stomach dropped when I realized that I was standing in front of Vic’s mom.
“Hi, you must be Kellin.” Her voice was soft and sweet. She already seemed like a nice person maybe I really don’t have anything to worry about after all.
“Um yeah, that’s me.” I replied with a half-smile on my face.
“You know Vic has told me so much about you. Vic, Kellin we should get going your brother and father are waiting for us.”
“Ok.” Vic said following his mom and he signed for me to follow and I did. Once we made it to the car Vic got into the backseat with me and we left…That was the first time I left the hospital in 3 years.
