Tom
I stayed upstairs for a minute after Doug left. He kissed me. He fucking kissed me! I walked back downstairs, not ready to face Penhall. But I had to. I walked passed his desk and he looked up at me with the sweetest eyes. I could melt into their chocolate color.
<<time passes to lunch>>
"Hey, Jude. You willing to help me out with something?"
"Sure, Hanson."
"Okay so you have to swear not to tell anyone about this. Not even your mother."
"Uh- okay I swear. What's going on?"
I lead he into an empty room.
"Uh- Tom. What are you doing?"
"I need to talk to you. About Penhall."
There was a pause in the conversation. I could tell she was thinking about something.
"Uh- okay what about him?"
"Just remember you swore not to tell anyone."
I took a deep breathe getting ready to speak.
"Okay. He kissed me on the cheek. Okay and I know it might not mean anything but he also called me hot."
"Damn, Hanson. It's your first day and you are already scoring."
"Hoffs. Please. I also told him he was cute. I want him. I just met him but I want him. Bad."
"Okay, well, I don't know. He likes bowling. Ask him to go bowling with you sometime."
"Oh my god, Judy. Thank you, thank you, thank you." I gave her a kiss on cheek and ran off to go find Doug.

Doug
I was walking to Jenk's office when Tom ran into me.
"Hey. I was just looking for you. Do you have a minute?"
I thought about the question for a sec.
"Yeah. What do you need?" I say as I set my papers down and sit on my desk. Tom sits directly across from me on his desk.
"Okay. Listen. A little birdie told me you like bowling and I wanted to go with you sometime."
Oh my lord. Is this a date? Did Officer Tom Hanson just ask me on a date? I try not to blush as I'm coming up with an answer.
"Uh- well I don't have plans tonight so does that sound good?"
"Umm. Yeah. Sounds great. Does 7 work? I can come pick you up. I'm just gonna need your address." He giggles. God, his laugh is so cute.
"Yeah that works. I'll just give you my address on this piece of paper." I hand him the address and after he reads over it, he puts it in his pocket.
"Thank you. It's a date then I guess."
