Chapter 6-An unexpected gift

"Ring!"

Jung Eun[POV]:

Jung Eun woke up, happier then ever. She couldn't wait to hang out with Jinsoul again.

She went downstairs to get an early breakfast when she saw her mother.

"Why are you looking so happy today? Is there a special occasion in school today? " Mother asked.

"Uh, not really "Jung Eun replied, but she couldn't wipe off the smile she had on her face.

"Oh, okay. Have fun in school today, because I have a surprise for you when you come back!" Mother said excitedly.

When Jung Eun heard the word 'surprise', her ears piqued immediately and repeatedly asked what was the surprise was since she did not like to be on the hook. However, mother did not say out a single detail, so Jung Eun had to be in suspense.

Jung Eun thought :Hmm, at least I have 2 things to look forward today!

Jinsoul[POV]:

Jinsoul was in school early for the exact reason-because she needed to complete her homework. However, things were a little different. Instead of copying answers from Heejin or Yves, she did the math homework by herself.

Even though she did not get all right, it was still an achievement.

Yves said, "Wow Jinsoul, this is the first time I've seen you do your homework by yourself."

"Yeah, these few questions are easier than I thought."Jinsoul.

"Who taught you? Cause I'm sure it wasn't me nor Yves."Heejin asked.

"Oh, is it Jung Eun?" Yves said with a smirk on her face.

When Jinsoul heard Jungeun's name, her heart skipped a beat.

"No.. I just searched it online."Jinsoul  said, trying to lie.

"Nope, its her. You would never use effort to do that."Heejin said.

Jinsoul knew that she couldn't lie.

"Yeah, it was Jungeun."Jinsoul admitted.

"We knew it!"Yves and Heejin said at the same time.

"Um Jinsoul, you think that Jungeun's cute right?" Yves asked.

"Uh,no?" Jinsoul said in denial.

"Nah girl, i know you like her." Yves said.

"No, I don't!"Jinsoul retaliated.

"Haha, keep lying girl." Yves replied.

"Ring!"

The bell rang.

Jinsoul, Heejin and Yves walked towards their classroom.

When Jinsoul reached the classroom, she took a quick glance at Jungeun before making her way to her seat.

Jungeun[POV]:

Jungeun thought: Did she just look at me? Am I falling in love?

No one[POV]:

The school day passed by slowly. Jinsoul was just hanging out with Yves and Heejin playing games while Chuu and Jungeun were busily talking about their daily lives.

No one[POV]:

"Okay students, you are now dismissed. "Mrs. Lee said, and all of the students ran out of the classroom, like a pack of hungry wolves.

Jungeun looked at her watch and thought : Hmm, its 1.45pm right now, i should go and buy a drink from the cafeteria before making my way to the library to meet Jinsoul.

Just then, Jungeun received a message from Jinsoul.

Jinsoul :Hey Jungeun, I'm at the library now. Do you want to come now? It's ok if you don't want to though, because our meeting time is at 2pm.

When Jungeun saw the message, she decided to ditch all of her previous plans and replied immediately. 

Jungeun: Sure! I'll make my way to the library now.

After a few minutes, Jungeun reached the library.

She saw Jinsoul and took a seat opposite her.

"Hi, are you ready for today's work?"Jungeun asked.

"Not really, but I don't have a choice cause I need to pass so that I wont have to retake another year."Jinsoul sighed, and they both started to do their work.

As Jungeun was doing her work,Jinsoul was scanning her.

She thought :Wow, her blonde hair looks so good on her...

She was then interrupted by Jungeun.

"Hey, are you okay? "She asked.

Jinsoul immediately looked back at her her book and replied, "Oh I'm fine."

"But you have not completed any questions yet. Let me help you."Jungeun replied and leaned towards Jinsoul.

"So, for this question, you would need to add this number to this number..."As Jungeun was explaining the question, Jinsoul paid no attention to her explanation but was instead was focusing on her.

"...And add this to get the final answer. Do you understand?"Jungeun asked.

"Yeah, of course."Jinsoul replied, even though she knew nothing about the question at all.

Jungeun then smiled at her as she was happy that someone finally understood her explanation.

When Jinsoul saw Jungeun's smile, she blushed a bit and her face turned red, but she managed to hide it from Jungeun.

Time passed by like lightning, and it was almost 5pm.

 Jinsoul and Jungeun packed their bags and left the library.

"Jungeun, thanks for teaching me more about math today, i really learn a lot from you."Jinsoul said.

"No worries, it is my duty to teach you from the wishes of Mrs. Lee. I got to go now, see you tomorrow!"Jungeun replied, and they went their separate ways.

After a while, Jungeun reached her home, and was greeted by her mother.

"Hi mum, why are you back so early? You usually arrive home around 7pm.'Jungeun asked.

"Have you forgotten about your surprise? Well, it is in this box. "Mother said excitedly.

"Oh yeah, the surprise, I forgot about it!" Jungeun said and immediately took the box to open it.

When she opened the box, she was surprised at what was inside.

"Contacts? You have no idea how long I've been wanting this!"Jungeun said ecstatically.

"Yeah, your teachers told me about your amazing results this term, so, for your present, I've decided to get contacts for you!" Mother replied.

"Thank you mother, I love you so much!"Jungeun said and hugged her.

Jungeun finally receives the item that she wants the most. How would people look at her now? Would Jinsoul have a different image of her. Would she attract someone else?
