Nothing important happened from there on. Nothing bad at least, Xinghao had been started to get more recognized for his work, since he did comissions to earn mora. The eldelry were greatful for his help, while the younger found him gloomy and creepy.
Xinghao also has started to get familiar with certain people he'd see daily, but there was one person that struck his curiosity.
.
It was some years ago. Xinghao was returning from a comissions, walking past Wangshu Inn. He used to there every year, to celebrate his mother birthday. The current inn-keeper, that was named Verr Goldet, offered to let him rest there for a while.
"It really isn't that much of a trouble, I'm sure I can reach Liyue from here by myself." Xinghao explained.
"Oh don't be so stubborn, after all you've helped everyone with, I'm sure even someone like you needs a moment to catch their breath." Verr Goldet said, trying to convince Xinghao to stay. Of course, she heard the rumours about him being immortal and such, so having a person as him rest there for once in a while was making her feel happy. I mean, she was dealing with the person who's helped mostly all of the people from Liyue.
"Alright, I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay for a little while" Xinghao said. He was stubborn, but also was easy to let himself get convinced, well not all of the time, it depended on the conext aswell.
Verr Goldent smiled, then told him about the sections of the inn.
While staying there, the boy decided to go to the spot where he usually celebrated his mother birthday. When he walked up the stairs, he noticed a figure standing there. It was out of the ordinary, since most people weren't staying on that specific floor.
The figure had short, dark-fading-to-cyan hair, with an interesting taste for clothing. The figures height wasn't that tall either, they seemed around Xinghaos height, which was considered short.
The boy took some steps towards the figure, but before he could even say anything, the figure looked back then dissapeared. Xinghao was able to get a glimplse of the figures face. Gold-like eyes, with an intimidating face. ''What an interesting person'' Xinghao thought.
After a while, when he was ready to leave, Xinghao asked Verr Goldet about the person he met earlier that day.
"Apologies to bother ma'am, but do you by chance know a person that usually stays on the last floor of this inn, with short hair specifically?" He asked.
.
"Oh, it seems as you have met one of our special guests. I must say you got lucky, he rarely shows himself to people." Verr explained."His name is Xiao, but I don't think he'll be happy if he finds out I've told someone about him, better not let that slip out." She continued. Verr couldn't even imagine how the adeptus would react to her telling other people about his existence, since he prefered not being known.
.
That 'Xiao' remained on Xinghaos mind for a while.
.
It was currently the date of his mothers birth. Xinghao was on the last floor of the Wanghu Inn, celebrating her birthday.
.
Xinghao felt something warm run down his face.
.
Was he really crying? 'How shameful of me' he thought, but he was intrerupted by a voice behind him.
.
"How pathetic, I cannot understand you mortals."[582 words]
