Xinghao turned around a looked up to see who intrerupted him. It was the same person who dissapeared before he could talk to him last time. Same short, dark hair and unique clothing. Same small height and serious face.
.
"Oh. It's you." Xinghao said, with a serious tone, rushing to wipe his tears away.
.
"What a disgraceful sight. If you came here just to cry then I suggest you leave. If other people hear you they'll form a croud here." The short boy said, not moving from his place.
.
" 'Just to cry'? It's none of your buisness to why I came here in the first place." Xinghao responded, turning back to his leaf in his hand. Every year he'd come up here to celebrate his mothers birthday. He would do so by writing on a piece of leaf what changes have been made, when Xinghao would let the leaf free, it would dissapear in the air, just as if his mother got the message. Quite a beautiful sight for him.
.
Xinghao finished writing, then set the leaf free. Him and the other boy watched as it dissapeared in mid-air into small glowing particles.
.
"You mortals know no respect." The short boy said, looking to his right.
.
"You speak to me like you're some kind of higher up. Talk about respect.." The other said, piercing the boy with his look.
.
"Higher up? You're just some mortal, what do you know? I've been here watching over Liyue more than you could imagine." The short boy said. A glimpse of annoyance could be recognized in his tone.
.
"If that's true then you'd know I'm not your usual 'mortal'. In any case, if you still decided to intrerupt me, you might aswell tell me who I'm talking to." Xinghao said, now crossing his arms. Perfect. He got an opportunity to know more about this 'mysterious person' he met.
.
The shorter boy looked back. "Adeptus Xiao. Also know as Conqueror of Demons." He said.
.
So his name was Xiao, and he also was an adeptus. It made sense to Xinghao since he saw him appear and dissapear on many certain ocasions. At least he knew his name, that was enough for him.
.
"If I took my time to introduce myself, won't you to?" The boy that was supposedly named Xiao said, intrerupting the other from his thoughts.
.
"Ah yes, my name is Xinghao. Although I don't have any important role around here." He said, getting ready to leave. '
Alright this went better than I thought it would' Xinghao said to himself.
.
"It seems I have to leave now, farewell." Xinghao said, then left.
"May our paths cross again one day..." He whispered.
.
Xiao heard that, then turned to face Xinghao that was slowly walking away. Why would someone ever want to cross paths with him again? He didn't show any interest or sympathy whatsoever, so why?
