Hey guys, wow these chapters are flying up! I didn't know how fast I was posting until I realized I was posting Chapter Six already when I had just updated with Chap 5 a few hours ago. I am really excited to be able to share this with you guys! So please keep reading and comment!
We walked back slower than when we’d come. It seemed that the urgency to get to a private setting faded with the heat. It had gotten cooler on the way back and by the time we reached the dining hall I was shaking.
I rubbed my hands together trying to bring some heat back into my body but it wasn’t working.
“What are you doing?” Jeremy said watching me skeptically.
“I’m trying to get warm, unlike you I’m warm blooded.”
He raised an eyebrow and smirked. “That was your best comeback? Here’s a tip: you actually want to insult the person, not make them piss their pants of laughter.”
I narrowed my eyes and shoved him into a wall.
“Easy!”
As I turned around, a girl with long brown hair and the most fair skin I’d ever seen was pushing past me to take Jeremy’s hand.
“Hey babe,” he said gently.
“Hi, are you ok?”
Miranda Darrell, also known as Jeremy’s girlfriend and the best cook ever, was not one to stand by if Jeremy got in a fight. A couple months ago when a guy sucker punched Jeremy in the boy’s bathroom, Miranda all up in arms busted through the door claiming to have heard the commotion. In seeing Jeremy clutching his gut whimpering like a baby she gave the guy a concussion by slamming his scull into the sink. I didn’t know how he scored a chick like her but I sure as heck wanted pointers.
“Yeah I’m fine hon. We were just messing around.” He shot me a look and I nodded in agreement.
“You’re sure you’re fine.”
“I’m positive, I’ll live.”
She was silent for a moment and then nodded. “Alright, I guess I’ll check on you guys later.”
“Bye,” he said leaning down and kissing her cheek briefly before she ran off giggling.
“Next time,” he said shortly, “Make sure she’s not standing there when you push me.”
“She is clingy.”
“Yeah I know,” he said smiling. “But extremely hot.”
I laughed, nodding.
“Hey! That’s my girl punk!” He yelled and slapped the back of my head. Ow!
“Okay! Okay!” I held up my hands.
He busted out laughing and for some reason I decided it would be better to join in than to start crying cause of the pain.
“Now you go back to bed and I’ll bring you something.”
I did feel a little dizzy now, I guess the cold was taking my mind off of it. I put a hand on the wall to steady myself and nodding I began walking back to the room.
Smirking, I shouted over my shoulder. “Thanks honey.”
His reply was muffled and distant so I kept walking.
I couldn’t remember much about getting there, just that I kept tripping and finally I was sinking onto my mat with my clothes on and I was asleep.
