Chapter 6
I should probably explain, how we pray. For my people and all the wolves we, have one telepathic connection that seemingly goes nowhere. Nobody else can hear what you say, or at least no body living can.
So into this connection you talk to the gods, Heathra god of land, Athena god of wisdom, and O'Harra god of sea. First my people say thanks, then repent and apologize for their crimes and injustices to the gods, and finally we ask for things, knowledge, and acceptance.
Tonight my prayer was simple. “Heathra, O'harra, Athena. I thank you for my safety, Heathra's northern cave hospitality, and everyone you have blessed me with. I repent to Heathra for taking your name in vain, and to all of you for my fighting with Kendrick and irrational behavior today. If so feels fit, could you find away to tell me, am I right about Tristan, Where is my Father, King Monte, and what do you have fated for my future. May my people be blessed and this moon passes safely, Amen.”
Some days it was far longer, but that was fairly standard for me. I opened my eyes and Kendrick was still praying; Eyes closed, and his whole body very straight and rigid. I got off the ground, and left Kendrick behind as I ventured off through the cave.
I decided swimming sounded nice and pulled of Kendricks shirt and jumped into the stream. The water was warm and dark, but when I moved a trail of Biolumesents followed me. Its amazing; swimming while your whole body sparkles.
I dove down and hit the bottom, which is clay and has the consistency of a sink hole.
I suddenly remembered as children, Kendrick and I once had a contest to see who could dig up the most interesting thing. But neither of us found anything in the warm water.
Something grabbed my foot. I surfaced and inhaled water in the process. I came up choking up the foul tasting water and struggling while trying to swim, all of which resulted in me almost drowning.
I found myself in the arms of Kendrick. Who was about dying trying not to laugh, but apparently thought letting me die wasn't equal to his amusement.
I glared at him. If I hadn’t still been spitting out water I would have struggled, and I didn’t feel the need to die today either.
Once on land I put Kendricks shirt back on my bare body, curled up into the green grass, and let the world and all of my worries disappear.

I didn’t dream that night. Or if I did I don’t recall what it was about. What I do remember, is that I awoke against Kendrick. He was still sleeping, and for once he looked young and innocent. And of course he is, Kendrick is younger than me and at my last birthday I gained my seventeenth winter.
I lay still until he awoke. Kendrick made me breakfast of fruits and juices, before we packed and left for home. Because today was going to be a busy one, I could already feel in the air.
We weren’t half way their when Catherine, noticed we’d left. Apparently no one had felt the need to tell her of our absence.
“Queen Avalon! Lord Kendrick! You’ve missed breakfast. If you are going to on fruitless little adventures, you need to back on time.” She shouted, giving me an almost instant head ache.
"Actually Catherine we've had plenty of fruit this morning." Kendrick said telepathically, but laughed out loud at his own joke. I cracked a smile as well.
"Where are you?" Catherine asked in an annoyed tone.
"Heathra." I responded more respectably then Kendrick would of.
"Who gave you permission to go their," she interrogated.
"The queen." Kendrick responded.
Catherine sighed, "Be back here as soon as possible. King Tristan of Rowhar has sent another request to speak with us. And the council must make a decision on what we'll be doing with him today.” Then Catherine's annoying voice disappeared.
Kendrick tied our few supplies to his ankle and both of us shifted and took off running instantly. The run back seemed to go much quicker. Our surroundings passed in a blurry and Kendrick lead. Neither her or I spook, with both just ran.
We arrived. Back at the bustling castle. Kendrick and I both wore dirty and unprepared clothes. At the first chance we escaped back to our separate chambers to put on decent clothing.
