"You look really beautiful, love."

Joe hugged her from behind while she put on hoop earrings. Taylor blushed and replied with: "Thanks darling, you look handsome too."

He was wearing a fine grey suit while she wore a pretty blue dress matching his tie.

He smiled, his dimples showing, then pulled back when his phone started ringing. He picked it up and answered, then told Taylor: "We need to hurry, Michael is waiting." She noded and finished putting in her earring. After grabbing his hand, they walked out of their bedroom together and left the house.

There were countless Paparazzi in their front yard and they were happy that their daughter was not with them, they did not like exposing her to this side of their jobs, which is full of constant privacy invasion.

Once they were in the car, Michael, their driver, started the engine and took of in the direction of the primary school of Jaylors daughter.

Taylor was the first to step out of the car then Joe followed. Luckily the Papazzi did not know the location of this prestigous private school they picked for their daughter, so they were not photographed on the way inside. Having been to this school a few times already, they knew the way to the assembly hall and walked inside picking good seats.

Scott and Andrea, Taylor's parents, arrived a few minutes afterwards and sat down next to them after hugging their daughter and son-in-law, who they luckily welcomed into their family with open hearts. Joe's parents unfortunately couldn't come because they were overseas in England.

"Hey honey, so glad we made it on time. Wasn't sure with the slow way your father is always driving!" she teased her husband and Scott replied with: "Well, at least I'm a safe diver unlike my daughter here. She's got to have that from you, at least I care about traffic rules!"

They laughed and Taylor helped her mother pull off her coat and put it over her chair. She knew that her mother was having some problems with her motorics since her cancer progressed and Taylor tried everything to adjust to her mother being a lot worse, but they both knew it was difficult and they were not really speaking about it a lot.

Once all four of them were properly adjusted, the curtains fell down and the Musical put on by third graders started. Eleanor had gotten the lead, which was not a huge surprise considering who her father was, but nevertheless it made Taylor and Joe so incredibly proud when she anounced to them that she would play Dorothy in Wizard of Oz.

Taylor was filming the entire play with a huge smile on her face pressing her thumbs up everytime little Ellie looked down at them. She could even see Joe shed a tear next to her. Her best friend Daisy played the tin man and the friendship between them served as a great basis for the roles they played in the play. The lion was played by Ellie's friend Tom, who she secretly had a crush on and it was so funny and cute when she came to her parents a few weeks earlier blushing talking about how Tommy and her had roles that were close. Joe had jokingly freaked out and said that she would not be allowed to have a boyfriend until she was thirty making Taylor slap him and say: "We weren't even thirty when we had her"

Ellies class played beautifully on stage and Eleanors voice when she sang was just angelic, everyone could hear she got her mothers voice.

After about twenty minutes the kids took a bow and Eleanors smile was so bright it could have litten up any night sky. She waved at her parents and blushed when her parents whooed her and cheered her on loudly. Taylor recognized Ellies face immediately. It was the same face that Joe made whenever she visited him on set. A face of pure bliss and devotion to the craft. Joe once told her she made a similar face when she was on stage perfoming.

The curtains fell with the thundering applause of all the parents in the audience. Staring at the red silk, Taylor guessed that she would see it again a million more times in her life watching her daughter act and sing on stages maybe even bigger than that small pre-school assembly hall. Who would have ever thought that that little shy girl that wouldn't talk to anyone but her parents when she was three would take the stage on storm at the age of eight and probably do so numerous times more.

She turned to Joe who already looked at her. She whispered: "We made a talented child, didn't we?"

He nodded and wiped his eyes with a tissue. The both of them turned to Taylor's parents and she could see Scott and Andrea being impressed with the show and they got up to grab their stuff and take home Eleanor.

They walked backstage to see all the kids packing up and when they reached Ellie sitting on a bench, they were shocked to see her crying. Taylor hurried over and squatted down in front of her spreading her arms to invite her baby into them. While stroking Eleanors back, she whispered affirmations into her ear, congratulating her on the amazing show, then asked what was wrong.

Eleanor sniffled, her crying has been reduced to muffled sobs. She angrily cried: "I don't ever wanna perform anymore". Taylor looked up shocked thinking of reasons why Ellie would have said that, but then Ellie continued: "I'm never gonna be a real actress anyway. I'm way to untalented." Joe kneeled down next to her and shook his head: "No honey, you are so talented, who told you that you are not talented enough?"

Once a tiny finger lifted and pointed to Daisy, Taylor and Joe stared at each other with shocked faces, jaws dropping. Joe went over to Daisy who was sitting on the opposite side seemingly unbothered by Ellie crying, while Taylor stayed and cheered up their daughter telling her that her mommy and daddy loved her performance and that both were experienced actors.

She overheard Joe asking Daisy about why she would tell Ellie that she wasn't a good actress. Daisy shrugged her shoulders and continued tying her shoe laces. Joe sighed and told her that it was not a nice thing to say and that her best friend is now very upset.

Daisy turned around to see Ellie sitting there crying and ran over to hug her apologizing. Joe exhaled in relief and turned to Taylor to do the same. He smirked at her and said: "Well, her career is safe now, isn't it? She will step into mommys and daddys footsteps. Let's see if she will put a focus on music or acting."

Taylor smiled and nodded. Then she rolled her eyes: "Let's hope our crazy friends don't bet on her future." Selena Gomez showed up behind her and said: "It's too late Taylor. We had the bet when she was born." Taylor squaled and turned around hugging her best friend. "What are you doing here?". Selena rolled her eyes and said: "Wouldn't miss my goddaughter's recital for the world!" Taylor stared at her in awe thanking her for showing up before Selena pushed her out of the way saying: "Now, let me see my Ellie". Selena went up to Ellie who ran into her opened arms. Daisy and her had made up again and the whole family went to get ice cream.
