Perfect (AU)

Taylor looked at the pregnancy test again and more tears started escaping her eyes. She lied on the floor as somebody knocked against the door. The door slowly opened, and her boyfriend Tom entered the room. He just saw the positive test lying in her hand and yelled at her: "WHAT GOT INTO YOU? WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE? PACK YOUR STUFF AND LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK" Taylor nodded and slowly grabbed  her things and left the house of her and her boyfriend, who hated kids above everything. It was dark and late. Probably around 2am. Taylor walked almost 2 miles away from her home and broke down on a bench. She called her mom and told her everything. Her mom said she could come and move back into her parents house. As  a stranger sat next to her, he asked her: "Hey, what's wrong?" Taylor opened my mouth and said: "I found out that I'm pregnant and my ex-boyfriend, he broke up a few minutes ago, throw me out, saying he never wanted kids and I should never come back" He said: "Oh god, wanna come home to me?" She shook her head: "Thanks for the offer, but I'm staying with my parents."
They talked for quite some time
and asked: "Can I at least have your phone number?" "Sure" Taylor nodded. He handed her his phone and she wrote down her number. He said: "I'll call you" and in that moment a car popped up, and that was Taylors mom. She said: "Bye, I have to go" than waved and walked towards the car. In the car, her mom asked: "Who was that?" Taylor shrugged "I don't even know his name. He just sat beside me and asked me what was wrong and I told him. With less details of course" Taylor carried a little bag and her mum drove her through the cold, empty streets to her house. Once Taylor entered, she was greeted by her dad who didn't hear the story. Taylor told him in one sentence:" I'm pregnant and that's why he left me" he understand and took her in his arms. Her parents both settled her down in her old bedroom, and gave her some time for herself. They called her for dinner and asked if she needed anything. She just shook her head. Andrea said: "You know, you can't be depressed for the rest of your life... It's not good for your baby and especially not for you" Taylor shook her shoulder: "Can I invite a few friends over next week? Maybe I can have some fun with them." Andrea nodded: "But you know you can't drink alcohol, dont you?" Taylor nodded.

As they finished dinner, Taylor asked: "Can I watch TV?" "Of course, princess but you need to sleep!" Taylor nodded and hugged her dad goodnight. Her mom said: "Goodnight sweetie, see you tomorrow" and kissed Taylors forehead. Taylor called a few friends to invite them over, before watching a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy.
At 11 she finally went to bed and woke up at 10 in the morning as her phone rang. She picked up and mumbled: "Hello?" The stranger on the park bench was it. "Hey, I just wanna check of You're better and ask what your name is" Taylor said: "Hey, I'm Taylor and I'm feeling a little better than yesterday. What's your name by the way?" "Oh, I'm Joe". They chitchatted for a while and then they hung up.

She checked her messages. Tom wrote: "HOW DARE YOU GET PREGNANT? DIDN'T WE ALWAYS USE PROTECTION? HAVE YOU CHEATED ON ME?????" She answered: "YOURE SUCH AN ASSHOLE. IT ALWAYS TAKES TWO PERSONS TO BE PREGNANT, AND PROTECTION IS ONLY LIKE 98% EFFECTIVE! I'M ABLE TO RAISE A CHILD ON MY OWN! BYE AND NEVER CALL OR WRITE ME AGAIN"
Taylor blocked his number and started to sob. Her mom gave her a long speech about what to do and not to do when you're pregnant. Afterwards they went shopping together and Taylor met that handsome stranger again. They were at Starbucks and Andrea soon started to sit at another table, because she didn't wanna be the third wheel. Taylor and Joe talked for a few hours and Joe loved to make her laugh. And apparently Taylor smiled and blushed like crazy every time he made her a compliment. The fact that he was super handsome and single didn't help her blushing fade. She was pregnant and single and that made it way more complicated.
She started to get watery eyes at that thought and made an excuse that she had the go.
Andrea realized that it was time to go and got up to say bye and leave. Taylor invited Joe to her party and then left with her mom, not really expecting to meet him again at the party.

Flash forward to the party:
At 1:55 Selena came, together with Karlie and Ed. Joe, Martha and Cara came a little later. They just sat down in the living room and talked. They didn't know about Tom and Tay expecting. Until Karlie asked: "Tay, how is it going with Tom?" Taylor started to cry really hard and Andrea came and hugged her closer. Andrea asked: "Should I tell them, sweetie?" Taylor nooded, and Andrea said. "She is pregnant and Tom left her because of that. I picked her up on a park bench at 2am." Taylor slowly started to control herself again, and let go of her mom. "Thanks mom" she whispered. Everyone congratulated her carefully on her pregnancy.

One hour later

Taylor put on some music and they all danced without her. Joe came over and asked her to dance too, and so they freaked out together to their favorite song. It was really wild and you could headbang really good to it, just like the few songs who followed. The third song was a slow song, and Joe asked Taylor to dance closer. He pulled her in and she rested her head in his chest. He wrapped her arms around her back and she did, too. She was smiling so bright, the moment was just him and her. And then, without removing his hands, he slowly kissed her. Taylor felt this connection the whole time. Suddenly her phone rings. Tay excuses herself and picks it up. "Taylor, look I'm-" It was Tom. Taylor cut him off by hanging up. She went back to Joe and continues kissing him. Right now everything is perfect.
